We almost always fired this weapon from a 2 1/2 ton truck with a ring mount, loved it, it rocked the whole truck, made Swiss cheese of targets and rolled the trucks over that we shot at. ( this is a small gun)

Former German army 10yrs and current reservist. We have a lot of these training sessions with other Nato countries its been like this since the cold war. Now worries we schooled the yanks in our service weapons, light and heavy machine guns as well so go search those videos as well. But don't get the wrong idea we are all comrades like any service we joke with each other and take our training seriously the point of this training is to be able to use nearly every weapon in Nato just in case. As in real war you just may have to use someone else weapon or your forces my have supply problems and again have to use another units weapons etc etc etc. I was am still am in the Panzerwaffe though now as an instructor I trust our MG3's more and it is what we use on all our tanks. An M2 is a defense weapon today static, vehicle or aircraft mounted mostly. But we Germans still love our own German made weapons more the M2 feels so old and its so huge and heavy the 240 is very heavy as well (both are very old and old looking weapons) the 249 would be the best imo then again HK makes some of the best weapons. Yes like any country our own weapons are the best so yes we are biased. Just as you yanks would be. Though many of your SF and or Marines use many German small arms like our 417, 416 and Mp7 etc. ; )
