Saudia Arabia Offers a Major Win for De-Dollarization| A Hit to Dollar’s Oil-Market Supremacy!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 вер 2024
- WELL, WELL, WELL, the financial world is poised for a significant upheaval following Saudi Arabia's decision not to renew its 50-year Petro-dollar agreement with the United States, which expired on June 9, 2024. This monumental decision marks a pivotal shift away from the petrodollar system, established in 1972 when the U.S. decoupled its currency from gold. The original security agreement, signed on June 8, 1974, created two joint commissions (1) focused on economic cooperation and (2) on Saudi Arabia's military needs, fostering close ties between the two nations. The lapse of this agreement signals a major transformation in global economic dynamics, with far-reaching implications.

It's rather simple,
Countries not directly tied into the US controlled Swift financial system can no longer be sanctioned so easily.
You hit the nail on the head; now you see why I used the term "Win" in the tile. The message is loud & clear for the US!!
@@geopoliticaltrends Throughout history this same kind of scenario has unfolded with other powerful nations & empires.
From the Egyptians, Roman's, Greeks & even the Mongols.
What brought them all down was not military defeat it was financial collapse.
The US & Europe "Will!" suffer the same fate as we now see that unfolding.
All the US & it's vassals can do is start proxy wars like they did in Ukraine in 2014 to attempt to slow down the wave rolling over them though it's all in vain.
They are powerless to stop what's happening.
The real global war is economic by nature & the US is being torn to shreds.
Ironically the US single handedly has become the best advertising promotional tool BRICS could ever hope for.
The US is actually helping BRICS look like a much more attractive financial alternative to the flawed Swift system.
Excellent news and freedom from uS imperialism
Very good news

Thank you good Doctor. I am quietly optimistic though I know things will get slightly worse before they begin to get much better. Broadcasting live and direct from Benue State, Nigeria!
Thank you so much for plugging the truth gap in our geopolitics. Watch you from the UK.
You're most welcome and so good to hear from you!!
One clarification. De-dollarization does NOT mean de-dollar only, but dollar-centric western currency, monetary and financial system covering also a)EURO, Japanese Yen, Sterling (UK) as them all backed by nothing but credit which is losing by the day as we speak, and b)world bank and IMF that control any wealth denominated and transacted in Western currency.
Thank you, Charles for sharing. Hope the community reads your informative post for a better understanding...
USA will now say Saudi deserves democracy and starts digging hole for the new leader
it is already starting with the upcoming release of info about KSA involvement in 9/11!!
@@geopoliticaltrendswill they be successful with the release of that video to bring Saudi on their side ?
the world has options now - hooray!
The ability to support the US Fiat Currency is fading fast.
The actual equal amounts of Treasury Notes sold as the FED prints dollars,
has been gone for 20 years.
The Saudi Money was already moving East,
as we saw when Credit Suisse went Toes Up.
The Saudi Investors took Billions from support of that Swiss Bank,
and moved it to China.
As the requirement to purchase US T-Notes fades and Colonies now depart for greener pastures,
the illusion of stability the US Fiat Currency once may have displayed,
looks lost?
end of $ power - weaponized $ has consequences.
indeed! We abused it!!
Combining sanctions, weaponizing swift system, the unfettered printing of greenback and unsustainable budget deficit all together, US and its allies had done a great job destroying their credibility in global financial system which they built after WW II. De-dollarization today is more than just a trend but an urgency of importance too, especially after witnessing confiscation interest of Russia sovereign assets stored overseas during G7. It seems unavoidable the Influx of dollar back to US which will lead up to supersized inflation is already a writing on the wall.
The US dollar has been ditched by many powerful and rich countries. Uncle Sam happily sanction countries that refuse to obey the US now backfired on the itself. Uncle Sam is bankrupt now 😂
America will have to tap into Thier own oil supply? Someone needs to tell those a holes in Washington.
and SPR is getting low...

Egypt is already a member of Brics
After witnessing the daylight robbery of Russian assets, both public and private, the Saudi kingdom is wise in reducing the risk of over-reliance on the richest nation on Earth who also appears to be its main competitor on energy supplies. In rejecting the role of the petrodollar, however, Saudi Arabia encounters the danger of internal discord and chaos that threaten the stability of the country, especially after decades of relying on America for its security that in turn bred the growth of covert intelligence inside the country where misdeeds by all royals and high officials were collected for future blackmails.
Dr O what is the implication of..."USA designates Russia as War Economy" and the implication on De-dollarization and of course Sanctions on Banks/Country that do not "obey" US command!
...in a simple term: Change to the global financial structure...I bet you Russia is going to make a major announcement during the upcoming BRICS summit!!
Apparently the agreement for KSA to sell the oil only in dollars was not expressly stated, i have yet to see the original agreement where it states so. I hope somebody can. Thank you.
It was largely unwritten deal.
From Petrodollar USD to PetroYuan RMB and local BRICS + currencies. A material loss to the Greenback in all international trades. The trade settlements are available now. I believe the BRICS + Kazan Summit 2024,will announce more details on PetroYuan, RMB, and Saudi Arabia will explain in greater details on oil settlements in Riyadh. This is not the end of the Greenback, far from it. Use in the Greenback will decline as a reserve currency and a settlement currency. Already, several countries are dumping US Treasuries, the latest is Japan $60 billion. Tokyo has cold feet over the Greenback.
indeed!!
Of course people are so Fed up with them.
*To strengthen the Russian Rubles, Russia needs only to work with Opec+ Countries and declare to the world that only Rubles are acceptable for oil for the next 5 years. So, where is the problem...??? Just a political decision.*
*Its Russian turn to print and make money out of thin air.*
Motherland Russia Ruble is now back by Gold, Russia is one of major production of gold
makes perfect sense!!
Go for it😂

I used to teach Saudi military officers.
I say “teach” but really once they have worked out that they don’t need to do any work and they won’t be punished no matter what they do, they just go to sleep in lessons. And it’s not one or two, it’s all of them.
My fault for being a boring teacher? No, it happens to all the teachers. They just have zero interest in learning anything or doing anything useful.
God will take care of us.
This is what I noticed, too much blah blah and nothing really happen!. Omg. lol. It’s been like this for long period of time and still using USD for trading. And you think there is no effect on this Globally. Dr.. you talk too much..” TO SEE IS TO BELIEVE “. Let see if they change USD dominance to any currencies in the world.

Really don’t appreciate the infomercial grift. I don’t listen to electrical engineers preach geopolitics and I don’t come here for a sales pitch Dr. Oualaalou. Please reconsider lowering yourself to this grifting trend, it’s very disappointing 😒 please don’t do this.

I am 72 years old. I hope I live long enough to see the United States joining the rest of the world in cooperation and mutual respect. It doesn't look like I will but hope is a virtue.
You'll!!
not possible too many racist in ur elite class
Sadly no change in US foreign policy for another 72 years. The US will change when the whole country joins Vietnam Laos Cambodia Afghanistan Syria Iraq Libya in the rubble. Today, Russia is calling a nuclear checkmate in Cuba. There are no takers in Washington DC. To glow in the dark for ten thousand years, sorry, the USA is not interested. But, only Russia and China can challenge a nuclear checkmate against the USA. When America answers that call from Cuba, the hypersonic H bombs will prime.

3:47 Philippines? They are one of those US' sacrificial ponds. I doubt they could ditch the dollard
Dr. O, how far do you think China's grand strategy went in the KSA-Iran peace settlement? To be sure, peace in the Gulf was always in China's interest so its energy supply from the region isn't disrupted, but did Zhongnanhai put into motion a corollary plan to piggyback on the Saudi-Iran detente and promote de-dollarization by reducing KSA's need for American protection, and empowering it not to renew petrodollar agreement? It's also worth mentioning US was easing itself out of the Middle East region to "pivot" to Asia, so from Beijing's view, it could fill the power vacuum Washington left and not risk great power confrontations. Of course, Saudi-Iran peace deal is only one piece of the de-dollarization process, others include actions by the Beijing-Moscow duo to provide economic/developmental benefits (China) and military protection (Russia) to countries tired of being bullied by the Beltway Blob through weaponization of sanctions and even military invasions.
I believe it went very far given the US did not expect the outcome of the agreement between the two arch enemies., which by the way we were fueling he tensions from both ends...I can see now Washington cooking something for both KSA and China/Asia. FYI: I will be doing a brief analysis about the latter...
MBS is brave.

Bravo 👏👏👏
Just occured to me that if everyone uses own currency, eventually can get away with having single world currency especially if backed by gold... As gold is worth the same, to here's no need for exchange rates... Either you trade and own more gold or spend, owning less
Good point and spot on!!
Is Saudia Arabia going to be liberated by the US?

Well, Well, Well if it isn’t Beverly Leslie.
The total value of global trade in goods was approximately $30 trillion USD. The total trade in petrodollars, which refers to oil export revenues denominated in U.S. dollars, was estimated to be over $3.2 trillion -- a mere10%., so there is still a lot of work in progress

That was when the US went to a flat monetary system. Therefore using Saudi in petrodollar meant there will be a higher global demand for US$ to perform transactions.
The only way OPEC can stop the strength of the dollar reducing profits, they just have to reduce production supply.
the US$ will only be hegemony to the west.
I am waiting for the global south under BRICS to reduce supply of cheap imports to the west, while at the same time food production gets reduced due to climate change.
This all means that the west is no longer the region for prosperity as less households are unable to save as much before covid.
The multipolar world of great powers, US. China, Russia, will have their own regional hegemony. The US is still trying to stop that from happening but is failing with it's iron fist approach with no velvet glove. The west will slowly change to a place with more social unrest.
Way to go Saudi Arabia
