Maddie, yes during part of this performance a massive rainstorm took place. You might be hearing the rain hit the roof rather than actual thunder- it was quite loud for a while. MissTheaterCrazy, Sally's lisp was the director's choice, something the actress tried in the early stages of rehearsals as an experiment and the director kept.
They are doing a great job. Rainstorms are what are called in law and insurance as "Acts of God". That means that they are out of anyone's control. I've played in the pit for countless musicals. This is a very workmanlike job. Quite professsional.
Are you trying to win the "silliest comment ever" award? It was in the spring. It rains in the spring. :) To answer your other comment, there were no mics picking up audience laughter so it does not come through well on this recording. Also, that afternoon show had an audience who, on average, were on the older side..... ;)

oh no! as lockstock and sally discuss the twenty year drought, rain is raging down on the rooftop. how very ironic! great production by the way :D
The guy who plays Barrel is perfect for that role!

Where was this production done?
Kind of a bad show to perform durring a rainstorm. Ironic though
maybe learn the choreography?
