Deployable Rapid Assembly Shelter. In case anyone wondered what Drash means. I use to work for the company that sold them. Best shelters ever made.

Absolutely not. Been around them for 7 years in the Army and the frames are garbage and break in only a few setups regardless of how careful Soldiers are, which prohibits opening the shelter forever. Most drashes you sold are now crammed in the back of rusty CONNEXs or have been thrown away by now.

@@charlienowell All frame problems come from simply being rough with it during transport and setup. The soldiers were not being at gentle as you proclaimed. The structure and assembly are easily repaired if fixed promptly. Saying f it when you already know it has a broken arm and just setting it up anyways will always be trouble. Maintenance is key. Anyone who has stayed in a DRASH for any length of time in Artic conditions like I have would tell you they are amazing.

@@dboogeman2002 i was stationed at Fort Wainwright, AK. We trashed our DRASH tents only months after getting them. They are useless in real arctic situations my friend. How do I know? I froze to death in a brand new one lmao

Have dealt with drashes, just base-x. It is all about how careful you are when setting them up. If you are careful to check for resistance during set up and tear down, they will last for a long time. If you say screw it and send it up yesterday, they break in short order. My only real complaint with the base-x tents is the zippers are absolute garbage if used frequently.

First things first. Find all components XO decided to break down into connexs to secure in the damn motorpool, then bump it up to the shortage annex because half of its been missing since 2009, then, drag it to the field anyway so we at least LOOK like we have our equipment squared away. Recieve aam after training for your time.

Was way easier back in the day even with camo net and blackout than this pathetic thing...I was a medic did it all the time sometimes 2-3 times a night. Used a mogas heater in our tents!

A grounding rod? Is this thing running Alternating Current, or is there radio equipment on board?

Jesus Christ I'd rather set up a GP med or Large at night with camo netting in total blackout than this stupid thing....😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
