Introduction: "ROUGH BLACK II"

This is a video of my painting "ROUGH BLACK II", acrylic / mixed media on canvas, created in 2023.
"ROUGH BLACK II" is part of a monochrome series that focusses on the paint, its texture, color nuances and bold brushwork!
I absolutely love working on this paintings currently, somehow it connects to a phase about 10 ago years where I worked a lot in black, grey and brown, and also with heavy textures. Back then I used ash or collage materials for the textures; but in the new series the texture comes solely from the paint itself.
