  • Presenting the most expensive Christopher Ward watch ever, the Twelve X. Containing Christopher Ward’s in house SH21 calibre, it’s a fully skeletonised version of their popular, integrated bracelet Twelve. Relying on high-tech machine finishing and a case containing both grade 2 and grade 5 titanium, the X continues Christopher Ward’s focus on pushing into the mid-range price sector. Leave your thoughts on the Twelve X in the comments.

I love it! CW on fire recently. Love the new c65 Dune too

Now machined… “keep the price down”. It went way up.

Compare to the previous c60 concept. The case, materials and inflation more than account for the increase in price. Plus it's not a limited edition.

@@DrNitin14Not limited is part of the problem - for a regular run piece I don’t think this watch is worth $3000 more than the regular titanium XII. Exclusivity has a premium associated with it… Common does not.

@@PocketWatchTime what people don't seem to understand is Christopher Ward has always had "Halo models". From the apex watches to the c60 concept. If you like the original ti you can still buy it. They haven't stopped making affordable watches.
Re pricing vs the regular ti you clearly don't understand the costs involved in ones own proprietary movement or the costs associated around the tooling to machine the finish this watch has.
While you may not deem it "worth it" doesn't change the undeniable fact that the movement, the new case, the new clasp, new crystals have very real cost implications. Hence the price of this watch.

@@DrNitin14 I completely agree this watch isn’t for me. I don’t care for the original XII either.
Probably the biggest issue I have is that this watch is halo and/or concept priced - but, it’s just regular. This isn’t a new movement - It’s 10 years old. That machining/development cost has been paid for a long time ago. Adding skeletonization isn’t a new concept - they did it on the previous Apex and/or concept and it was hand beveled. This is machined.
A CAD design for a new case (same case, different size) doesn’t cost that much. Copying VCs clasp (allegedly 😁) doesn’t cost that much. Sapphire crystals are so cheap Chinese companies can make entire sapphire cased watches for $1000.
Trust me when I say I’m not just making fun of CW‘s price. I make fun of Rolex and all the other big boys prices. Buying a watch that costs $500 to make and having it go through so many hands that you pay $15,000 on the other end is pretty silly. Doesn’t mean I haven’t done it. I’ve done it a lot. But, I at least want originality for that price.

The dial lacks colors, CW should have used the CW logo instead of wordings on the bracelet. Since, the clasp extension is the same as Czapek clasp then it might as well introduce the CW logo. If the thickness is 10mm then it's slick and less bulky. Not a fan of that circular Lume as it reminds me of Atelier Wen Perception. A hardcore Czapek Antartique owner myself, also owns a 12 and the wearability of it is a joy!

This Model seems to be unpopular due to the changes, we can understand your points.
