If you want to talk ruination I say look to the fossil fuel industry who are set to destroy all forms of human achievement by making the planet hostile to human life. They're already responsible for 8 million premature deaths a year through air pollution alone. Then there's the wars/proxies for oil they're heavily implcated in. They're literally worse than the Nazis, albeit less discriminating in their relentless pursuit of profit.

I hope I'm wrong but as an avid watcher of airline staff on flights I think the insane behaviour of the bailout-billionaire class - e.g. investing in space flights and space colonies while jet-setting around the planet, rather than, say, technology that will avert climate catastrophe - tells us that they know it's too late to save ourselves, if not the planet.
