40 years ago in Chicago, I had a gig lining the Astroturf for Bears football games, and Chicago Sting soccer matches at Soldier Field. I used an old Graco 333 airless, and a Titan adjustable tip, which I rarely see today. While they burned out rather quickly, the ability to adjust the fan when switching from yardline markers, to numbers, to logos, and then over to the 6' border without having to change tips made life easy.
The Park District, (which ran the stadium) bought cheap exterior latex that we strained and juiced down a bit for the application in order to avoid heavy build-up. When it got below freezing during the '85 playoffs, we had to switch to lacquer in order to keep the paint moving through that 200 feet of hose. I was lucky if I was able to run 15 gallons of paint through that tip before it was shooting fingers in every direction, but I always had a bunch of new ones on hand. The ability to dial that tip down and get a tight 3 or four inch fan was a life saver, and it also allowed me to freehand some of the more intricate curves without overspray.

Hello I enjoy and have learned a bunch from your Paint Life videos, also have been very happy with what you carry and sell on you Paint Live Supply Co. I notice that you have a spray enclosure behind you. I am wondering what kind it is, how well it works, what sizes there are. I do a lot of spraying in my garage and though I cant afford a spray booth It would be nice to have a dedicated somewhat enclosed spray type booth area. Any help would be great.

HELP!!! I don't see Fine Finish tips or guards. Am I missing something? I think that I need a 310 Fine Finifg to spray trim and some metal floor/wall registers in a 1947 built house (I think the registers dated to a very early update.) I have a Grayco X7.

I have graco orange guard and my tip keeps screwing up. It will start to spray then spit and stop. Won't even let me twist tip to clear, it gets stuck. I have to unscrew whole guard, clean and put back together. Spent all day trying to correct, even took whole gun apart and cleaned. Wish there was a video on spraying problems and solutions. I have a graco pro x9

Use a strainer bag. Sounds like it's getting clogged with debris. It doesn't take much to clog the nozzles so it's absolutely necessary to strain your paint. Also avoid spraying paint with any texture in it.

@@LtDan-ni5rw thank you. Just strained yesterday and there was stuff in it. Going to try spraying today. Hope that was the problem.

I’m a 5’2 female...totally novice but really excited to learn, and I just bought an airless graco project painter to help me tackle my home improvement paint projects. I struggle with how great the spray looks until I get to my head level and then it looks so blotchy above my head. Any tips on how I can get a more consistent paint through to the ceiling? Thanks! Love your videos. I’m learning so much!

Walking Small never kept me out of the Cookie Jar😉Use a plank & 2 strong milk baskets 4 a 7' ceiling or 2 5gal pails 8',or buy alum folding shorty scaf or plank at HD, Also adjustable angle adapt between gun extended wands. 2 stepladders & plank. 2 saw horses 4 OS Brush work (Soffit cut in)Good balance helps but 1 or 2 ft fall will only make a mess on DropClth🎇

Hello, good morning, very interesting that you recommend to stop using GRACO's blue guard because it is not compatible with other tips, this must be hard for the company because the RAC X guard line and tips are one of its flagship products.
    Best regards from Baja, México.
