I had no idea he was an author. Definitely going to check them, thrillers and crime fiction are my favorite!

Not an author…. yet but LOVE TM’s frequent exposure of authors.
Watched her interview of S. A. Cosby a couple of months ago. Had never heard of him.
Ended up reading all 4 of his books back to back. Just couldn’t put them down. Loveeeeee his work. ❤
FYI…. If anyone isn’t familiar with Octavia Butler’s work and you love sci-fi…. you have no idea what you’re missing!

The way they love to say that "Black People don't read" is ridiculous. I ended up self-publishing for that reason. It's harder, but get your work out and follow your dreams. Definitely, going to support.

We as a people have to stop letting the gatekeepers of these industries take our dreams away. This is not true black people love thrillers and suspense.

They say “Black people don’t read Thrillers.” Not the same as “don’t read BOOKS.”
Black people read a Lot of Books (me included). We are not Required to read SciFi or Crime Thrillers. I generally do not. Doesn’t mean it isn’t Good (by all means, please indulge); just not my preferred genre.
Black people’s tastes are as diverse as any other group.

I know a lot of black people who read just as much as white people. Black women especially but alot of black dudes too. That's stupid

I have never read such deep and captivating character and story plots since forever. And never have I read a complete book collection because of the plot (I have a "preference" for sensual spicy books). But the masterful storytelling of Eriq La Salle has caught my intellectual attention IN A FICTION BOOK! I feel like this is an abnormal psychology professor teaching his students by storytelling. I'm so glad I took a chance on La Salle... but I'm upset that I won't find another diamond-level writer. I'm consuming these books like oxygen... and my tank is running low. I am excited to read what comes next❤

Agree. He knew he was coming to Tam's show. And Tamron is always dressed stylish.

What's that got to do with anything. As you might note these days, most people have acquired a more casual way of dressing be it on talk shows, at work etc. It's the way of the world.
