I just caught the part at around 30:45. The "Porn noir" is by photographer Mark Jefferson from the first Life is strange game. That image is found on the front lawn of the schools campus during the start of the game as well. Noticing lots of little details sprinkled about that I missed before.

Stuffyluffy i think they missed the dialogue option but it shows chris’ arm that’s bruised and it implies Charles did it while drunk/angry which is extremely sad. I knew right away he was an alcoholic
spooky kayley I feel bad for the dad. He just lost his wife, and has to raise his son alone now and he can’t handle it all so he takes it out on Chris. Of course it’s a shitty thing to do to your son, but I can understand why. If I just lost the love of my life, I probably wouldn’t be doing so well either.
Yeah, I found the complete lack of empathy for the dad kind of weird. Obviously I have the most empathy for the kid and the dad needs to do better, but him being a father doesn't negate the fact that he's a flawed human who's understandably struggling with his own issues.
The boy doesn't have power. This game is probably farther than yall got in the other game. Daniel probably at this point mastered his power little and saved him!

Pretty sure the Blackwell thing is just a way to link the stories with Life Is Strange. It's not really connected to it though. Other than that one weird porn by Jefferson. I don't think it's any deeper than that.

The thing about this game that just slices right through me is I so heavily relate to Chris's relationship with his father. It does bring a smile to my face to see he still has so much compassion and love inside of him to want to stay and take care of his father. Both heartbreaking and uplifting.

ok the ending really brought tears to my eyes that was beautiful.. i didnt expct to enjoy this game so much if im being honest but everything about it was lovely.i think it's because of the storytelling- although cliche, it was still powerful.. and the boy is a really likable character. i also really loved the animations and imaginative parts because it's something new i've never seen from the LIS series
