In my case, I just added in the final product in the overlay. Since you want to show a part of your video, You could split out the part you want, and then make a copy of it (click on it -> Copy), then move the copied to overlay (click on it -> Overlay), then move copied to the beginning. Is that what you are looking to do?
Hmm, I think it depends on how long your clip is (the longer your clip is, the longer time it will take) and which option you choose. The better quality one would take even a lot longer time.

@@Wiccanwv I found it doesn’t take as long if it’s under 1 seconds, but I don’t use it enough to know how long it take with longer than 1 second clip.
