    Hey Emmanuel thanks for another great lesson. A few months ago you did a tutorial that included the hymn ‘in the name of Jesus we have the victory’. Unfortunately I can’t remember the title of the video and hence can’t refer to it for further study. Could you please direct me to that video? Thanks

      @@EmanuelBlancoPiano You are one of my faves for Jazz tutorials. Also, what software are you using where the notes/chords come up when you play?

    beautiful harmony man. 👌 hey bro, quick question, something ive been wondering about all the greats like you on youtube. how do you guys remember all the songs you know? like if i said play a el alto y sublime in the same way you taught us in your video. would you be able to on the spot? or would you have to play it differently because you dont remember that arrangement specifically? whats your method for remembering fancy arrangements like you did for that song? (the intro for example) . i was thinking, would we have to learn sheet music to memorialize the fancy arrangements we learn? or is it possible to just remember all that stuff once you get as good as you? or is it just the case that when you get to your level, one doesn’t worry about remembering “pretty” things you said/played, because your vocabulary is so broad, you know you can always speak/play beautifully although you might use different words? haha sorry.. its a lot.

    • @EmanuelBlancoPiano
      @EmanuelBlancoPiano  Рік тому +1

      Thank you! I feel that most of the "fancy" arrangements comes from constant listening/practicing to music with complex harmonies. But apart from that, being able to train your ear to hear and play melodies is extremely important. I always use the melody as my starting point for building chords. Then from there I think about creative ways to approach that chord whether it is chromatically or just a secondary dominant (there are many ways to approach a chord and the best way to learn that is by listening to someone else do it and then applying it yourself).

      @@EmanuelBlancoPiano right on. makes sense. my question i guess is, ppl at your level, do you guys worry about memorizing all the fancy stuff you do? like to the point you have to right it down or record it? what do you use to write down your ideas, or do you just record them or something?

    • @EmanuelBlancoPiano
      @EmanuelBlancoPiano  Рік тому

      Personally, I don't write anything down because I'm not too good at writing sheet music. The only time I write is when I use the number system to memorize a song for church. But what I do is constantly practice new movements that I learn by repeating it countless amount of times and also trying to use it within a song. It gets to a point where if I forget what the movement sounded like, all it would take is for me to hear it once and it's back like muscle memory.

      @@EmanuelBlancoPiano makes sense makes sense. awesome. well thanks for answering my question. God help you to keep it up man, there is no one like you on youtube , that teaches how to play OUR cultures’ worship songs in a more harmonically interesting beautiful way. 👌 👌
      i sent you a message on paypal, think about my suggestion bro 😝. there is nothing like that on youtube or spotify.. at least that iam aware of. if im wrong please share that channel with me!
