    This is a great and full review! I'm in the end stages of developing products. As a licensed Cos and 2 year natural the points you made were so key! The size of the product really matters. Also a little hair nugget 🥰Always start at the tips it really makes the detangle easier and for my tender head clients I used to twist a few times at the root, hold at the half point then work my way up.

    • @CurlsofaCPA
      @CurlsofaCPA  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for watching and the feedback!! Best of luck on your products 🤗
      As for the detangling I may need to rewatch the video because I got a ton of detangling comments lol
      My process is I start at the bottom and gently work my way up and when I get to the middle I switch to my roots and gently tease those and then go back to the bottom/middle and work my way up while holding my hair tightly.
      When I do someone else’s hair I twist their roots and mostly go from bottom up but for detangling my own head I mix it up since some sections are more tangled in different areas

    I just used this today. I loved the conditioner, it was thick and creamy so I didn't need alot, and it still moisturized and popped my curls. I'm a little iffy on the shampoo though. It felt like it stripped my hair which I didn't like, but I didn't pre-poo like I normally do. I'll wait until next week to see if there will actually be a difference. I will say I had way less breakage while detangling and detangling was easier than normal, but my hair seemed drier and I needed more leave in than usual (I used my normal leave in). Updated to add my hair is super soft and it's usually not this soft after styling ❤️❤️❤️

    • @CurlsofaCPA
      @CurlsofaCPA  Рік тому

      Thanks for sharing your experience!! I notice when I use products that are strengthening my hair craves more moisture so that could be why you needed more leave in (I’m just guessing though) And I didn’t mind how cleansing the shampoo was but definitely wasn’t expecting it 😂 and I had that same experience with the softness too. Let me know how it goes when you try them again

      SORRY for the months late reply guys! KEEP YOUR DANG hands out of your head unnecessarily!!! 😅😂😅😂 Every time you manipulate your hair, you give it an opportunity to BEEAK! PERIOD! Feed your hair water, moisture, proteon when needed, oil, butters, and Hrease! Style it (longterm protective style) and STAY on top of dryness!!! Don't be the one who says, "I have not moistized my hair on TEN days! NO!!! Just leavecit and let it grow! Oh and buy yourself some African Pride coconut prepoo detangler and you can protective stfor 3, 4, 5 months and detangle with a BREEZE (use this product on DRY HAIR PLEASE)!!!

    The scent is great. I pretty much had to use half the bottle of leave in which I normally wouldn't need to do. The bottles are way to small for the price. I do like the product.

      Glad you enjoyed it! Great review. I was gifted this entire line for Christmas. I was a little nervous bc shamefully I’m one of those naturals who doesn’t know my porosity 🙃 (really don’t know how to check). So I just stay away from protein to be safe, so I’m a little nervous. Your hair is absolutely beautiful by the way!!

    • @CurlsofaCPA
      @CurlsofaCPA  Рік тому +4

      Thank you!!! And that’s such a lovely present. I learned my porosity by paying attention to how my hair reacts when I am doing it. If you google the strand test for porosity you can try that but also read up on the differences and then learn your hair and see what you identify the most with. Porosity is important but you can’t let it hold you back from trying new things and getting to know your hair. Even if you happen to be protein sensitive and something makes your hair hard or dry you can always replenish that moisture. Everyone needs protein but in the other hand this line doesn’t have strong strong protein. It’s a really balanced line so don’t be scared to give it a try. I’ll be posting my styling video soon and you can follow my routine and see if it works and if not you can tweak that a little and just keep experimenting (which is something I talk about in part 2 of this video)

    I never seen someone use the conditioner to detangle, shampoo and then the conditioner, it makes sense I want to buy her products for my baby hair she’s 9 and I usually shampoo, condition let that sit for ten minutes then wash out apply a deep conditioner that we let sit in her hair for 45 mins to an hour just to be able to comb out her hair, then section and blow dry, her hair is already combed out because she’s 9 and wears ponytail hair styles with balls and berets so I do not need to detangle before hand although I do just comb her hair together to wash. But I thought what you did was different I like it.

    I am looking to buy too. As a 50 yr old women with natural curly hair. I don't do perms or heat anymore. I started my natural hair journey 2 yrs ago and will never go back. Mrs. Tab got some good things in those products, I love All beside glycerine, but I know that needed to be in there.
    Do you blow dry your hair out? I need a video on how to twist out. It's winter here so I don't need my hair wet.
    I wish they had a combo box with most the products or mostly all in there with a special price or even subscription box with special pricing.

      Congrats on your journey!! The glycerin in the products aren’t too high on the ingredient list so it may be fine (especially for the winter) but yes a nice bundle would be good (hopefully they do that in the future). As for a blowout, I have an old video on my channel currently but will be uploading an updated one this month. I still use the same technique in my old video so you can check that out. I’ll also share an older twist out video where I twisted on dry hair

    My little one has dense, thick, low porosity and tiny coils. Pray for me. It’s so beautiful but it refuses moisture unless I force it with heat of course lol. But I also am interested in finding the most hydrating products for her. So far Camille Rose Ginger (?) shampoo and Moroccan conditioner is the most hydrating.

      Thank you!! And heyyy twinn!! Some parts of my hair are low porosity and other parts are medium but I cater my routine to my low porosity strands since they take longer to receive moisture. Are you looking for just products for washing her hair or styling products too?

    The scent is sublime! Shampoo was not a favorite for daughter hair tangled.conditioner was ok, felt good overall but not helpful when detangling took forever but the definition was there now for the leave in-LOVE IT! ❤ Leave in has played well with mousse & gel from different brands And having said all that her hair is lasting and is moisturized. I get so scared trying a new shampoo and conditioner bc after I’m done my hair can tangle right back up. thanks for watching! so after using my brush in the beginning (before cleansing) I didn't have to pick it up again, like I could easily finger detangle whatever tangles I had left. After rinsing the shampoo and conditioner they don't leave anything behind though so you will need to use a moisturizing leave in with slip after cleansing and conditioning (especially because there is some light protein in it...you get hydration and strength). The leave in from the line had enough moisture and slip that I got through whatever tangles I had after rinsing the conditioner (cuz curly hair goin tangle back up alil lol) and had no issues. I hope that makes sense

    Hi New girl here... I noticed that you used Conditioner first before shampooing are there benefets that youve seen by doing it this way ?

    • @CurlsofaCPA
      @CurlsofaCPA  Рік тому

      Welcome welcome!! You don’t have to use conditioner before shampooing. I just used it to detangle my hair since it was really tangled and I find that my wash days are better when I start with detangled hair. I typically detangle outside of the shower using water and a slippery product (like the natures little secret fenugreek prepoo or the pattern detangling nectar or even just water if there is enough left over product in my hair). Not a mandatory step but one I prefer

      @@CurlsofaCPA ahhh okay gotcha I use a preppy. I figured out later on that you were most like using it to detangle. Thanks to you I did just purchase the shampoo conditioner leave and scalp cream.I have fine high porosity hair lol we shall see. At least I know now that my hair Hass to be really wet to work the products in.

      Yay!! Hope you enjoy! The shampoo and conditioner is definitely need a lot of water if you want to use the products sparingly. The leave in likes water too but will still work if your hair is damp. The cream and oil works great on dry or wet hair

      Thank you!! It could be the silk amino acids, the oils or even the aloe. All those provide a slick feeling in other products I’ve used (that’s my guess)

    I wanted to try these hair products but changed my mind after reading the ingredient list.
    These products appear to contain a high amount of alcohol-which is listed as the first or second ingredient.
    These products also contain a high amount of coconut oil-which dries my hair out.

    • @stevonnefuller8265
      @stevonnefuller8265 Рік тому

      I had the same concern with the alcohol being so high on the list and how my hair reacts to that. But I’m still on the fence about trying bc of the reviews I’m seeing, they’re very convincing!

    • @CurlsofaCPA
      @CurlsofaCPA  Рік тому

      I know a couple people who can’t use coconut oil so I understand. They do have a couple products without coconut oil that I like (their hair cream and their light oil) so if you still want to try you can check those out. The light oil is just on their website though

      @@CurlsofaCPA for some reason when cetyl alcohol is listed high on the ingredient list it has the opposite effect it’s supposed to have. My (and my daughter’s) hair strips and tangles like crazy when cetyl alcohol is in the first 5-7 ingredients. If it’s lower, it’s fine for us. But I recognize my hair/scalp is different. It’s why I could never use mousse. It immediately makes my scalp flake up terribly.

    The only thing that concerns me about these products is not even related to these products lol, but several years ago (even before she launched her first official product from her line I believe. I may be wrong) Naptural85 did a DIY sweet potato deep conditioner treatment and was raving over it and the benefits etc. At the time I did not see anyone else talking about sweet potato for hair. I wonder if Naptural85 came out with a new sweet potato product that she had been working on, if she would be accused of copying this line🤔. Truthfully, I have no idea if any of her current products have sweet potato in them, because I do not use them. I am curious to try them one day, but I have too many products in my stash (as well as I love DIYs) to get through before justifying buying more.

    • @CurlsofaCPA
      @CurlsofaCPA  Рік тому

      Naptural85 hasn’t come out with any sweet potato products yet but I don’t think anyone would think she was copying since we all know that’s one of her DIY’s. She wasn’t the first to come out with a black soap shampoo for purchase even though she’s been making it for years (and probably made it popular) and when she finally came out with hers no one accused her of copying. A lot of DIY UA-camrs put ingredients on the map years ago and other DIYers and brands have been inspired by them which has made the natural hair product market better (for the most part)
