“By virtue of being a dancer, I am a Hindu in philosophy. Even my family has acknowledged that. It does not matter what people have to say about me,” said former Censor Board chairperson Leela Samson, in what was seen as a veiled reply to critics questioning her 'religious biases'. Jan 27, 2015
one of the traditional thilana, paras ragam composed by poochi sirinivasa aiyankar.... believe composed for the ramanathapuram samastham in praising raja rajeshwari meant to be the goddess for royal dynasty of ramanathapuram
Exquisite performance! I come back to this over and over. I appreciate the upload but If only they could reupload with the music synced, it would be awesome! Really this piece deserves it!
Why, oh why is the dubbing so much out of synchrone? A marvellous performance and a charismatic dancer, but it hurts to watch this video because of bad timing of music :(.

You may well be right about the sync issue but this is an old edit so we can't really change things around in it! Thanks for viewing! Hi WildFilms India. Thank you so much for the great service you are doing by making these available. I thoroughly enjoy anything shared by your channel, the authenticity and quality is guaranteed. But please try to sync the audio and video. The beauty of the movements synchronizing to the beat is critical to dance. Can you not delay the audio by a few seconds after ripping the the audio from the video using editing software? Please do this for some of the other great videos you have uploaded too. Again, it is a valuable thing you have done by making these available! Please keep it up
Super performance. Bt the time sychronisation of mrudangam and ottanam does not support the foot works. May be they could not practice with the artist.
After watching the much more graceful styles of Pandanallur,Melattur,Kerala Kalamandalam,Thanjavur,Vazhuvoor no I way find this graceful.Among all the Banis of Bharatnatyam I find Kalakshetra bani to be least graceful.
因为一位leela老师的中国学生eesha的播客听到leela老师的名字,所以来看了视频,感动,让我接触到了这样美丽的舞蹈❤

Technically and physically stunning performance.

Not a single Dislike. What a phenomenal performance!
Leela and Bharatanatyam are made for each other!

Fabulous
In 1999-2000 Leela Samson honoured Sangeet Natak Academy award

HERMOSISÍMA!!!
Can someone please tell me which Thillana is this?
Paras thillana
What style of Bharatnatyam is this, Melattur, Pandanallur, Vazhuvoor, Kalakshetra-Melattur Style, Pandanallur, Vazhuvoor, or the Kalakshetra style?
most probably kalakshetra
Kalakshetra style because she happened to have trained from there and then follow the same style till date
Sheer perfection !
Such a beautiful performance by Leela akka! The music and video however are not in sync!
You may well be right about the sync issue but this is an old edit so we can't really change things around in it!

@@WildFilmsIndia You can change it. Simply separate out the audio and video using any editor, and resync it. There might be some patching to do.
Have u seen even she starts any step early but it ends in perfect time
Good
Paras thillana?
Yes!
Clearly she glorifies dance🌹
❤
it is based on which ragam?
Rajveer Rana paras
May i know what thillana is this in?
Do you mean to ask what Raagam this Thillana is in? It's in Raag Parashu, Thalam - Adi
thank you so much (:
I have her eyes.
Congratulations ???
Super performance. Bt the time sychronisation of mrudangam and ottanam does not support the foot works. May be they could not practice with the artist.
Unnikrishnan kodothody team has very good synchronisation it’s the problem with upload . It’s beacause no sync between audio and video
Saw her on an aeroplane. Got some eyes because of this.
You comment makes zero sense
I believe the video and music are not in sync.
Kalakshetra style is so soft? I thought BharataNatyam is meant to be so sharp, slicing, strong!
After watching the much more graceful styles of Pandanallur,Melattur,Kerala Kalamandalam,Thanjavur,Vazhuvoor no I way find this graceful.Among all the Banis of Bharatnatyam I find Kalakshetra bani to be least graceful.
@tapomitamallick3637 I do love the Kalakshetra style 🩷 All styles are beautiful and unique 🪷🙏🏻
Very out of sync. Any way of fixing this?
Priyanka Gandhi's teacher, never seen the student dance 😁
Hahahahah!
Lol lol lol😁😀😁
Student taught teacher to be Hindu hater and removed all Hindu worship in academy
Ohh...what's going on .....lip synching...and she's not following the thalam
She makes it look easy, but it isn't.
Singing and dancing is not going in track
Her neck movement s are not great
worest perforamcne . wast of time.
So soulless
She is Christian and Jesus will send her to hell for following hindu culture
May i know what thillana is this in?
Keshav Prasath paras thillana
I think you mean raga
