- Aerobatic Display Flight of the Hawker Hurricane Warbird Fighter at Airshow Degerfeld 2019. Pilot Matthias Hörber / Germanies youngest warbird Pilot is mastering the Hurricane . Enjoy and leave a comment.
I love the sound of the Merlin as it's throttled back - it just growls. One of the best sounds in the world - the sound of freedom !
The Hurricane did more to win the "Battle of Britain" than the Spitfire.
Thats true
You don't need to see the aircraft, you just know it's a Merlin. A full orchestration without the need for any accompaniment. Simply perfection.
Perfektes Video 😎👍 Schön das wir solche Warbirds auch in unserem Land aktiv haben.
The Hawker Hurricane is a beautiful warbird I know a lot of people say that the Supermarket Spitfire is very pretty, but I the Hurricane needs praise as well.
The moment the video starts it's art 😍
Beautiful aeroplane flown by an expert. As the title says - "awesome".
Superb display thankyou pilot, you have shown the slightly unloved old hurribus in its true light as a superb aircraft that can be handled
with some elan and chucked all over the sky . I bet the RAF pilots of the BOB era would have loved that version of the Hurricane which came after
1940 when they were given maid of all work ,and all armament, roles but with the more powerful Merlin 20.
Supreme bomber killer, it is the leader when it comes to kills, Allied or Axis! Beautiful sound, music to my ears. 😊
And it's fully aerobatic as well. Brilliant restoration/build for it to cleared to perform like this. Well done to all concerned !
Poetry in Motion !
Merry Xmas
Hi guys anyone remember the Hawker Hurricane Mark 1 that was on the Gilbert’s dairy farm near Warnford Hampshire back in the 1980s.....It had a wooden 2 blade propeller and wooden wings covered with fabric.... factory no L 2 4 4 4 ....where is it now ?........ anybody from Beauworth or Kilmeston remember it ?
The Hurrycane was a just good enough plane like the P40 the P39 the F4F, available in quantities when war started and when war starts you fight with what you have until you come up with better !!!
Most people don't appreciate how fast 300mph is in a single seat single engine 30 foot long plane...its mind blowingly fast...at low level..flying over towns its like they're all coming one after the other like cars on a road....people sometimes think that the hurricane was quite slow because the Spitfire could push nearer to 400 but in reality, 300 is very fast, and rapid for its day, this was an absolute beast of a machine, it was the perfected version of the Hawker Fury which was a beast in itself for 1930
That pilot is so lucky.
And talented! It looks so effortless.
no help
Thank you Faby!

I'm not from Brazil, I'm from Europe
Great video and fantastic sound! Definately recorded a few notches above.
Hawker hurricanes saw alot of action during WW2 like battle of Britain, Malta, North Africa, it was underated compared to the more famous spitfire but was a great plane that did solid work as fighter ground attack etc
Do you know what Mark this Hurricane is...?
Always liked the hurricane.
Sehr schönes Video! :-)
sehr gut vorgeflogen ! TOP !!!
Always the bridesmaid never the bride like the spitfire but thankful we had the hurricane and sir Sydney camm got it just right with ths hurricane my father's friend group captain Charles numan flew these in far east with sea east Asia command eventually becoming the CO at number 1 squadron RAF wittering
The backbone and working horse ot the British Airforce! And an interesting dsign as well
Highpoints for the hurricane during WW2 would be actions at battle of Britain and at Malta, some were sent to Russia under the American lend lease act
Well Done.
It's really important to restore and keep all WW2 aircraft around today, they are all valuable deserve respect, and should be flown at airshows or displays in museums
Interesting paint scheme on this hurricane, how many are still around today?
Don't often see that. Thank you.
Thanks liking
Can I use some of this for an edit if you don’t mind?
No
Has the best sound
Thx
is this a wooden plane? New build? Restored? known as supirior turnfighter. Motor sounds like musik. Original had carburators not allowing to turn negative, the chance to escape by negative Turning what Bf109 could do.
This is original
The Hurricane was not a wooden plane.
It was metal skinned on the front fuselage and the wings.
The rest of the stressed structure was a tubular metal space frame that took the loads.
Any wood used was to build up the rear fuselage as a form for the linen covering for the plane aft of the cockpit. The fundamental difference between the Hurricane and the Spitfire was the Spit was a "stressed skin" construction. This is not necessarily about wood or metal ,since the wooden DH Mosquito was "stressed skin"
@@billycaspersghost7528 was the mosquito made of wood? Thx for your information.
Since everyone in the universe knows the Mosquito ,the " wooden wonder" was made of wood , I am inclined to think you are taking the piss .
@@Warbirds interesting, thx
Such a majestic plane
Has same rolls Royce Merlin engine like in a spitfire but it's design is not as aerodynamic
Only the earlier $hitfires as the Mk IX and Mk VIII had the later version 60 series 2 stage supercharged merlin, Hurrycane never got that engine, stayed with the single stage 20 series all through the War !!!
Well sort of,early hurricanes had the same Merlin 3 engine as the early spitfire Mk 1s.@@wilburfinnigan2142
