Selling The Eclipse with a diamond wand, diamond battery and diamond fiber optics is a crime. That is the dream hipster build and only happens once in a blue moon
He needed the core for the skill synergy, he didn't have any other source of haste and that would have meant being burst down. Also no miss isles so the question becomes, what do you even use alongside the Eclipse? At that point you've got no tempo, no damage and no scaling.
@@Salted_Fysh he had sharp corners for damage scaling and the eclipse does damage for each use of an item. That's a ton of damage. he could have put his old core back in for haste. He had a once in a lifetime build at his fingertips and went normie. Either way you get something that cool you go for it even if you lose.
@@Jahkrel sharp corners alone isn't enough for a build. And it only works for scaling if you have a shield item you can use quickly. To fit in eclipse, he would have had to swap out his combat core, which was one of this major ways of realistically stacking sharp corners, *and* reduce the effectiveness of his duct tape by removing synergies. Eclipse on the board means: - Swap out miss isles with his core for a considerably slower haste and less core procs and therefore even less haste. - His combat core with Eclipse for no shield stacking and slower burst. That would have left his board with: Eclipse, soldering gun (with only 2x because no friend), duct tape, core, slow LED's, wand, fiber optics. With only a 2x soldering gun - duct tape combo and a slower haste, his triggers for wand are also reduced, further slowing the build down. At this point, what do you even use to trigger eclipse fast enough to counter burst? It would have been a cool build and if he had more prestige left, he could have been more risky in his play and try the pivot but sometimes things just don't work out. The vendors on the second half of that day just also didn't give him what he needed to fit in the Eclipse. And his next opponent was a Vanessa, who's current meta is rapid poison scaling or burst damage, something he is unlikely to survive long enough to get going without his massively cdr reduced combat core shield and damage. Just because a build would be cool theoretically and if everything goes right, doesn't mean you can force it. This just wasn't the time.
2:38 To anyone curious on a good method to calculate burn damage (assuming they won't stack): 1. Add 1 to the burn number (in this case 7 + 1 = 8) 2. Divide by 2 (8 / 2 = 4) 3. Multiply by burn damage (4 * 7 = 28) works for any burn if it doesn't continue to stack. Example for the pyromancer passive of 10 burn: ((10 + 1) / 2) * 10 = 55 damage.
Just before this video i got gold wand from the any item merchant, into a random enchantment getting shiny for multicast. With port and battery went wild
Yeah it would have been more fun watching the near infinite combo of soldering gun proccing fiber optics on the wand, with the ignition core in for infinite haste with the near constant 2 sec charges.
One in maybe 10 runs I think “I got a pretty good build, maybe I can take on lich” And I am reminded that overconfidence is a slow and insidious killer.
He has the wrench in his inventory which upgrades a tool at the start of the day I think. Strangely, the wrench is restorative which should have been making tools restorative but I didn't see it happen
Wish he would sacrifice some efficiency for the content. He always sells the cool items in favour of some vanilla build. Yes, combat core is good and will probably get you 10 wins. We've seen in 100 times already. Just use the spaceship. Reminds me of when he sold the Lich book when he had a great build for it. How often do you even fight Lich, let alone get his best item? 😅
Well I don't think that players don't want to. I think it's more that you need to get the loot **and** already have a stuff decently synergising with it. You could also stash it and pivot, but again it's mostly down to luck. Some of the best monster loot are sometimes also the hardest to fit in a board efficiently at the time you get it-and I think that's good design !
@@SirWrexeswell this time Kripp had the perfect setup for it and still didn't think it was worth it. More a testament to combat core just being way overpowered though. @@williamwolfe9112 Unsure about the Eclipse pivot, he didn't have any powerful enough scaling for the late game without the Combat Core. If he had some other efficient way to up Eclipse's damage, maybe.

@@kingbirdIII CC is 100% stronger then damage scaling. Vs pig, he froze bee which is why he won. He had strongest setup possible. @dodang_9147 ya. I'm more of a meme player so I'm just saying what I would have done. kripp is a much player than I am. I'm not even in top 200 at this point. But the damage scaling would have gone insane . I probably keep mothership with my setup too and just try to machine gun then down

Dam i haven't seen this math sense I was in calc in hs, glad you reminded of it 😊
Witchcraft !
Gaussian sum for a finite arithmetic series 🤯 throwback to Calculus
This is written a lot more easily as (n^2 + n)/2. So for 10 it would be:
(10^2 + 10)/2 = 110/2 = 55
I used my own logic: If item has 7 burn. Multiply it by 8 and divide by 2 = 28.
n * (n+1) / 2.

why is there a -1400 health (and different amounts) when selecting an opponent or entering a fight?
