May not be a true low profile card but MSI made a 4060Ti/4070 Ti X Slim version which is more smaller than the typical/regular 4060 Ti/4070Ti's out there. I actually made a small Lian Li Q58 build with the MSI 4060Ti(16GB) White X Slim, i7-13700k, 32GB RAM and 1 1TB m.2(OS) and a 6TB 2.5 WD SSD(for the games + misc). This is definitely the type of build I'd go for today-because it is legitimately tiny....but have no need to upgrade yet. My last pc build from a few years ago was a sff, but still huge and heavy though smaller than a mid-tower. They need to keep shrinking gpu's and power supplies so we can have super small pc's. Because I'm a renter, we have to move around every few years, so lugging these boxes around is a pain in the azz and I don't trust movers not to damage these delicate and costly machines-so I move them myself. Something this small would be ideal because you can throw it and all your cables and stuff in a backpack.
The thing about these mini pcs are to reduce footprint, being a usable PC and not too expensive by using low profile GPUs. They really shine in these years.
I wish they would release a 4070lp. Nice to see more options with FlexATX coming out, the PSU was typically the limiting factor in ITX builds, even SFX is limiting if you want to go with half-height cards. Still wish these case manufacturers would stop cheating around the expansion card brackets. Just extend the case rearward and make them internal. Who cares about the .2L penalty? If the bracket is sticking out it's effectively that much bigger already.
@@Spyke_misc Yeah that's the kind of power envelope I was thinking of. I'd definitely consider this if building something ITX, sure you sacrifice some future upgrade paths by having an onboard CPU, size limit due the case and power capacity due to PSU size, but these are acceptable compromises when trying to build so small and compact. I also find it very enjoyable to build such small machines and trying to make sure they're still good performance per dollar but also not too loud / hot, I only got into it recently though, I always just went with midi towers, but then I wanted less space to be taken, and felt like ATX cases just waste so much space, plus ITX coolers and AIOs make it much more feasible these days to make a good rig, same with the existence of decent slim fans.

I love that mini pc builds. Specialy with this better GPU than the build in ones. What I don't like is the lack of a 2.5 HDD. M.2 SSD is good but only affordable up to 2TB (So you have maximal "4TB" inclusive Windows). I prefer an M.2 "1TB" for the operating system and a 2.5 HDD with "5TB" (for only 100,-). Here you would have to use external hard drives again.
A small PC like this with 16 cores should have at least 2TB of SSD. 1TB of SSD can barely hold Microsoft Flight simulator, Halo, Forza Horizon 5, and Borderlands 3. The types of games you can play with a Microsoft Gamepass subscription.

Cool little toaster pc. For any one wanting to use RTX 4060 LP in there build. I will reccoment to go for the asus rtx 4060 LP BRK over the gigabyte card. Reason is the asus card runs up to 6-8 degrees celsius cooler than the gigabyte card and also for those that like to overclock. Asus card allows you to raise stock power target from 115 watt to 127 watt while the gigabyte card is locket to 115 watt. I have both of these LP cards, that´s how i know this. The asus card can be a little bit more exspensive over the gigabyte, but in my opinion it´s worfh it.
But how much difference is performance is there.... Probably not any
The motherboard was even moved down a bit, they should have made the PSU cable cut out to go on the top of the I/O, would have been perfect.
He used a thicker fan that he did on the builds with the BD770i and AR900 which created the problem if you go look at his other builds like this
Do you make budget itx builds?
if u go with a bd770 version and add a less power gpu, u could get away with a cheaper budget but it's stil not that cheap. cheap and powerful requires used parts. Or u can just wait til they have this on super clearance in a few years
I’ll definitely need to try this for my travels💯💯
Would you recommend doing this over the 8700g build you did?
2 4K monitors 144 Hz will work? ( not game )
Why did you go with an APU instead of a CPU if you are using a dedicated GPU anyways?
the BD790i seems to suffer from the problem that the BIOS doesn't save the setting after being disconnected from power. Does your unit have the same issue?
This is cool, but makes the Velka 3 even more impressive to me. 3.9L, uses desktop CPU, can fit a 4060ti
What are the exact measurements of this case?
Hopefully, people I'll look at this video and build one for themselves.
With the next AMD APU you can ditch the 4060 and go for an even smaller case!
can you try high end emulation on this cpu ( specifically rpcs3 with hard to run games like GoW 3 and ascension )
This case holds up to two laptop SSDs between the front of the case and the flex power supply
@@heirtothethrone000 Interesting. Sounds very good.
Awesome build! Would this also run iRacing and F1 24? 🏁
that mobo cpu combo cost just as much as my mid range pc lol
Nice build. But the link to the motherboard isn't working
I suspect that even when turned off it is warmer than mine while working 🤨
cute setup
MinisForum AtomMan X7 Ti touchscreen mini PC comes packing an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H. ETA PRIME could you review this one. Keep up the good work.
The GPU it's great. ! But if what you're doing is playing videogames, why a Ryzen 9. ??
A small PC like this with 16 cores should have at least 2TB of SSD. 1TB of SSD can barely hold Microsoft Flight simulator, Halo, Forza Horizon 5, and Borderlands 3. The types of games you can play with a Microsoft Gamepass subscription.
im interested to build PC like this
My dream pc
Helldivers 2 doesn't have dlss... How were you testing with dlss balanced?
I have this same build with the rtx 4000 ada gpu it's a monster
I will be subscribing
Can you post the dimensions of that motherboard with that noctua fan installed? I am really liking these.
You'd get better performance out of a standard ITX motherboard, 7800X3D and proper full sized ram. Still hard to believe this thrashes a 2nd gen Threadripper.
Hey ETA Prime, can you do a GEEK M21 MINI-ITX CASE build.
Just get a Phanteks T30 fan. Quiet and powerful
Which industrial noctua fan did you use? 2000rpm or 3000 rpm?
I have the same question.
thats a12f or smth, yes 3000rpm max, its dead silent compared to 14cm thermalright on it side
When will minisforum release a version of this with the 3D chip is what I’m wondering.
I didn't know that BD790i has liquid metal under the cooler. Is it the same for BD770i that I already purchased?
Great vid 👍
Great video and quite detailed. I might hop on the mini ITX and sff builds train 😅....but before I do, can you tell me please what model is the Monitor? Thx
Are there any cases like this that are super compact but rack mount 2 or 3 U that could fit in a Short depth network cabinet ?
Did you had issues with the noice from the psu fan? I made a similar build with a similar psu before, and the fan was super loud. Even much louder compared to a gaming laptop
@@NicholasGogel Yes I just updated my comment jaja, mine was 600w which was kinda overkill and couldn't replace the fan
I wonder how good that 4060 low profile is on 4k with games using full DLSS, probably will look so good and cannot tell compare to a high power one, if the game supports it
it's gonna struggle... not a good match
