Thank you for putting this together. It's nice to have the album to listen to without constant interruptions from ads. I only recently found Apashe (thank you, Pandora) and I absolutely love his music! Each song he puts out is a masterpiece. This album in particular has so many great songs. Devil May Cry, King, and Kryptonite are my favorites.
I want to hear him do blues, the change from classical to rap is interesting, but I'd love to see this done with a blues approach I've gotta listen to see if they try it. If they go from classical to blues, and then sort of ignite that sort of fire for action and to throw off the world, then the warrior poetry of rap would be where I'd like to see it finish. Especially when they're out throwing genre definitions away. The sort of wisdom to know your suffering from the classical philosophies of the west, turns towards a modern day interpretation, and then a rejection, and an anger... I think that would sing with meaning. Then as a framing device you can end again on classical, with the justification that history repeats, or that some sort of inner peace was had.
Forgive those who know not and never judge.
Solid album. I'm not sure I hear a song that grabs me the way "The Distance" did. But there isn't a track I skipped either.
