The battery apparently has a 1.2k mAh capacity; but on Amazon there now are 2k mAh for $15 and 1.5k mAh for $13, direct (aftermarket) replacement battery packs, which will plug straight into the original socket. I hear that some are modifying RC car batteries (with 3.0k, 3.6k, 3.8k, 4.2k, and even as high as 6.2k mAh capacities) to interface with the battery holder on the Sweeper's shaft. Have you looked into this? Apparently one major issue is, the included charger has no shut off sensor, and will overcharge the battery pack, without either a timer, or a person to unplug the charger, in order to prevent the battery pack from being burned out. The capacity of the stock battery pack seems to disappoint many customers, but the company says that unit should be able to run its motor for up to 40 minutes between charges. RC battery chargers are "smart" chargers, which will sense if the battery is fully charged, then put themselves into a "sleep" mode. They do not overcharge any batteries. Many already have RC battery chargers. Thanks for the content. Keep up the good work. BS'D ua-cam.com/video/sCgw5D1T11E/v-deo.html
Need to know how to disengage part C of handle from part D. The model is SWSMAX -MO 6. The battery holder as on previous models, can't be twisted to unlock the handle from the base.
What a GREAT video...thank you...concise, precise w/o a lot of blabbering about things I'm not interested in! ;) I'm just posting this as an FYI for comparison w/my older model which I've had for years and it's worn out, so I'm looking for another one. I noticed in your review, that the 'brushes' are not as 'dense' as my older version (the newer version spaces the bristles 'farther apart')...for me, that means, less pick up w/one pass and more going over the same area, which you proved in your demonstration. My old one would have picked up all of that with a couple of passes. Also, mine was fine on 'low-pile' carpeting...if I used it often enough, I didn't have to vaccuum as much. I never had a problem w/inserting/disconnecting the battery OR storing the sweeper. The ONLY downside for me is 'cleaning those brushes' of hair [not short hair, long hairs...you have to cut the tangled hairs out]...UGH! SO time-consuming BUT luckily, you only have to do that about 4-6x a year. This one sounds good, especially w/the 'extra power' but overall, I would not buy this again...the problems you pointed out @13:00, I've never had w/the older version. :( Thanks again for a GREAT review...you saved me a lot of trouble! i.e. Buying it and then having to return it! p.s. I saw a lot of questions about the 'battery'...on my older version there is a light but it never goes off...you're only supposed to charge it 6-8 hours and they CAUTION to NOT over-charge it!
HI i bought a 2 pack replacement battery for my swivel sweeper max and it says to charge the battery 8 hours before I use it, when I plug in the replacement battery it does not light up, is it supposed to light up red when it is charging? and green when it is done? it does not light up at all when i plug it in. does this mean the battery is faulty?
If they are genuine Swivel Sweeper replacement battieries, I believe they should light up. If they are a different brand, they may not. I would try charging them for 8 hours each and see if they work. If they do, I would just be sure to not charge them too long.
HI I bought a swivel sweeper It only worked 3 times and now the battery does not work at all the vaccum does not even go on anymore Is there a replacement battery I can order on amazon so that I can plug it straight into the original socket?
Hi i found a double pack of replacement batteries it is called 2 packs upgraded 3000 AH 7.2 Wi-MH replacement Battery for a Ontel Swivel Sweeper G1&G2 for $25.99 would this battery work in the sweeper i bought?
It sounds like they would work and be a little more powerful than the 2000 AH batteries but check the reviews very carefully because some of the aftermarket batteries don't work very well.
Not impressed by sweeper. However, thanks for showing my main questions, as I search for a new sweeper. How to get the brushes out! That part was easy.🦇
I was looking up the Swivel Sweeper because I was telling my friend how awful they were. My friends bought one years ago when they were being advertised on tv all the time. Worst money ever spent. The suction was about what you would expect from a vacuum this size, but we only wanted it for picking up crumbs and dust. BUT if the head comes off the floor AT ALL, even bumping into a chair leg, it would SPRAY all the dirt out everywhere! It was insane! The brushes would just wrap any hair around the bar, never sucking it into the trays. The manufacturers obviously knew this because they included an actual seem ripper for you to dig and pick out the hair off the beater bars. It was so gross. Also, the battery stopped holding a charge after a month. 🙄 If I can save one person from wasting their money on this too I will be happy lol.
I like mine, have had it for about three years, and it still works great. You referred to suction several times... IT HAS NONE BECAUSE IT'S NOT A VACUUM! Used and maintained properly (even the guy in this video was NOT using it properly) it does what it's supposed to. I guess it's all about expectations, and some people's are not realistic.
Hi would the Powerextra 7.2 volts rechargeable battery replacement for an ontel swivel sweeper G 1 and G 2 would this battery work on the swivel sweeper i bought? i don't really see any reviews on it?
Yeah... you just saved a lot of folks from wasting $40. Thank you & Happy Holidays!!

what is the name of the rechargeable battery that you would recommend I get and how much would they be on Amazon?
Karcher makes one hell of an electric broom as they call it. I'm considering getting this swivel sweeper, but I'm not sure it will replace my karcher.

Lol... he wasn't even using it properly. Terrible video!
I thought it worked really great, and the removable sweepers is the best part.
It does if used properly, which this guy wasn't doing.

Yes, just go to amazon and search for swivel sweeper battery and there are quite a few options such as single batteries or two packs available.

How to order a new battery
I would check on ebay or amazon.

I love that job because all disabled need it
And also old people too
That’s a Batterie powered vacuum cleaner
Useless product, a normal sweeper can do a better job.
Do they sell them anymore, good sweepers never needed batteries
