Let us know in the comments what you think on Propains Hugene in 2021. Do you like the updates in the suspension set up? Or would you rather something else entirely?
@@jakobholm7722 This is (apart from the review) what i came here for. Thank you sir! I am too 185cm tall and around 86cm inseam but was not sure if i should pick L or XL. Now i am much more comfortable in choosing the size L. My Orbea Rallon -19 size L have STA 76 degrees, Reach 455mm, Stack 627mm and TTe 611. Was not sure if the extra 21mm of reach (with 150mm fork) would be enough to get a more comfortable time behind the bars. What stem lenght do you have on your bike?
Propain make great bikes. I ride a 2019 Tyee (the one with the shock still behind the seat tube) and it just eats up the trail while climbing surprisingly well for a 160mm enduro. If I had to replace it - for which there is absolutely no reason fortunately - I'd go with Propain again
My framset will be delivered end of November (6 month after order...). All the other components are already here so that can assemble my new bike immediately
You bet this is on my shortlist. Spec it with the 150mm Fox option, good ol GX, a 185mm dropper, some nice Magura breaks and, if your budget allows for it, some sweet hoops and you have a banger of an All-Mountain bike. In case you can only have one bike, i feel this is it. Looking at how you can dump 13 Grand ona Transition today, ~5 grand for a true dreambike is actually a compelling offer.
I need to try one, I am on the lookout for a new trailbike, and it is either Hugene or jeffsy, do you have a comparison on those two? I have tried the Jeffsy, wich i like it is fun as you say.
@@travis6191 I actually went with the YT Izzo Blaze, because of the trails I ride, where we have a lot of climbing, and technical descends but not that knarly. So instead of overbiking I whent for a bike that fit the trails. I would take the Jeffsy if I hadn't gone the Izzo
So after years of writing reviews you need a communication error to finally rate the frame instead of the components on it? With every bike having frame sets and a million different specs, it wouldnt have taken a genius to figure that out earlier.
Hey, thanks for the comment. In our reviews we always talk about the frame as the centre piece of the review, however it would be remiss of us to ignore the components bolted on to the frames, especially when a group test is aimed at a particular price range, as it is with Bike of the Year. Ultimately, components are an important part of any review, as they can make a huge impact on how a bike rides. A bike can ride poorly, even if the frame is great, if the component choice is poor. As such, we always strive to talk about the frame, and a bike's components in any review. hope this helps

Love love love. Played with the configuration and trying to find a way to get it delivered to Hong Kong.
At the top of my shortlist!

Who doesn't love a good bike review of bikes that aren't available. 👌🏻
To be fair, there's not much this is available right away anywhere
by the way, is the hugene comparable to the Neuron CF or to the Spectral?
definitely on my radar
Will you also review the new spark?
Yep, one landed with me next week - not sure yet of our video plans but look on on BikeRadar in the coming month or so
I didnt expect this
hello thanks for video. Are you compared with propain heugenes ?
sorry with norco optic
5'8" should I go sm or med frame. I'm literally right between both
how tall was the test biker?
I really wanted this bike ..but you have to wait until december or longer ..I bought the new cannondale jekyll instead
eugene looks legit
now.. this is paid promo. Is the bike actually good though?
The video contains paid product placement for Fox Clothing, Muc-Off and Garmin. The review of the bike took place independently of this sponsorship
@@bikeradar thanks, I wasn't trying to be a prick, i was actually curious because I want to order it 😁
FYI customer service is horrible from Propain. Consider other bike companies if possible.
