i totally agree with you thanks for the feedback
I love how you keep it real instead of sugarcoating or only sharing the good side of these gigs
Thanks! 😊
We can now see the customer zip code which is really helpful. We have 60 seconds to accept & within those 60 seconds I’m able to google the zip code real quick
I’m almost certain that with a push of a button, they can change how their system works. Overnight, they can go from masking information, to being transparent, but, we know they like to see what they can get away with.
Facts
It might take them getting sued for the change to happen sadly. When someone almost dies they will turn into Uber REAL quick. Showing everything and changing the guidelines. I live in Virginia and thinking about working Cornershop in the Washington D.C. area.
Great tips and information. Yes, safety is more important. Be safe Dimples!
Thank you 😊
You most certainly can tell if there's a big water delivery or not. When you are trying to decide whether or not you're going to take an offer of course you look at Price distance and you also look at weight. Corner shop provides you with a weight estimate. So of course if that weight is high it may be a bunch of water and you don't want to take that.
Amazon flex in certain areas pays $30 to $50 an hr such as my area in Washington. Other areas 20 to 25 just to drop off packages no shopping or nothing.
Well said sister.
If we don't respect ourselves, nobody will.
R E S P E C T !!
🙏🏾
Also can we get UberEats cash out technology
I respect your decision to choose where u go 💯 I personally don’t mind.. I’ll go wherever but my only problem with this gig is how slow orders come in smh
It will pick up. They are expanding quickly.
Every offer that comes across the screen is a contract, if the details of the contract is something I want to do then I accept the contract. However, if you present me a contract without key facts in it, I'm not signing it. The main reason I stopped doing Postmates years ago was because they would not tell you where the delivery address was until after you accepted the offer. I won't sign up for Cornershop until they provide that information in their offers.
Well said.
Straight facts no filler with an emphasis on safety! Thanks!
I love and respect a woman that is not afraid to grind and hustle for hers....
Thanks Jose!
I’ll give you another trick that I use… so you know how you can change the store sometimes? If they let you change it, they always show 1- the store closest to you, 2- the stores closest to the customer. Obviously the original store should be closest to the customer, but knowing my area, I can use this info to guesstimate the general area the customer lives (north, south). I agree 💯 with you about transparency.
Yes, I’ve noticed that. Sadly the stores near me are over 11 miles apart.
@@DimplesonDemand I think that’s why the distances are so far. Cornershop needs to partner with a wider variety of stores & then it probably wouldn’t be as far. At least it will give you an idea of the direction the customer possibly lives in… 🤷♀️
I totally agree with you. Safety is number one
Has CS disappeared in your market yet? I’m not sure if you remember me but you helped me get my cooler bag approved back in January, I was making $800+ with CS but it disappeared in my market in July 😫. Now I’m barely making $300 per week, tried to give it a chance with UE but it’s just not paying the bills. Are there any other apps you’d recommend that are high paying like CS? What have you been doing to offset the loss of CS (if it already disappeared for you)? 😩
I definitely remember you. Cornershop has left my market and I must agree it has been the same. UE taking over has low balled the offers to the point where it’s not even worth it. I have continued to cherry pick with Instacart. DoorDash has increased their shopping orders but nothing compares to Cornershop. I’m still on the hunt for the next best app.
@@DimplesonDemand Hi Dimples thank you for getting back to me, I almost sent you an email b/c I thought you didn’t use UA-cam anymore. Have you checked out Spark (Walmart delivery)? It can be hit or miss depending on the area but right now it’s the only other app I’m using besides UE and their shop & pay orders pay well too (it’s just very rare to get one, at least in my market). It’s crazy b/c I used to take orders to the same customers on CS and eventually they became used to me always delivering to them and they would tip me SO well. On UE, I haven’t seen a SINGLE customer I used to deliver to from CS, I wonder where they all went 😫. I actually barely get shopping orders on UE period, whenever I do it’s usually on Sundays. Also recently, I noticed UE’s pay has gotten SO much worse. $4 orders going 12+ miles round way are literally the new norm. If you discover a new app that’s as good as CS, I hope you make a video about it 🙏🏼 because right now, UE just ain’t it.
Great information Dimples! I don't like shopping so I don't think I could do Corner Shop.
Give it a shot. Sometimes it’s 1 item for $25.
@@DimplesonDemand really!! We are back with long lines at the supermarkets, I am not sure if I can wait 45 mins in the line to go inside, look for items then line up another 30mins to get out
Great to see you! I do a few Cornershop orders when the money is too good to pass up. If you message the SOM and ask for the address, will they give it to you? It's not really the milage for me, it's the specific spot. Sometimes there is a 3x multiplier at a store 10 miles away and the customer is 6 miles from the store. It makes a difference if the customer is 6 miles farther or 6 miles back towards my house. There are also specific areas within a couple miles that I would rather not go. I need an address. And if Uber can't make gps work, that's a problem. Also, they only seem to do one chain here and they don't have aisle numbers. That would really be helpful, too.
They will not give you the address. I’ve asked for the neighborhoods a few times and have been successful. They need to get it together.
They have it in New jersey Hamilton too please
3x? I get ecstatic when CS even push 2x occasionally here in the DC area which is the most I ever seen.
@@BigJSA Yes. They have 3x at random places for short periods when they need orders out. I got $55 last night for 13 items and customer was 2 miles away. It was very cold and icy out but I had to do it. 🥶
@@SideGig The biggest payout I ever had was about $104 during a 2x on $212 worth of groceries. Had to endure slushy pavements too.
I feel that they should offer orders depending on the type of car you added to your account. I mean, I’m sure that being a tech company they car run a simple query to disseminate that info 😂
True!
Thank you for this information also do you have any information on how I can find my 1099 Or W two's firm corner shop
That’s a good question. I’m going to email them about that.
Hey Dimples!
A shootout?! 🤯
Staying safe is key. Good to see you. Best in 2022. Did you ever finish the kitchen?
It’s almost done. I just need to have the lighting complete and change the appliances.
I just don't get why these companies hide information from us.😒
I agree
I appreciate your feedback back because at one point Uber was like that you didn’t know where you was going into you got the order but then they changed it hopefully they upgrade it soon as possible because I don’t play that I’ll leave that order right at the store and get deactivated nobody will work with them if they don’t and they ratings will go down.
Just got on CS but havnt done a shop, i need to know where its going mostly cuz of traffic.. theres areas i do not want to be stuck at. Might just try it on Sundays.
Hi, I'm new to CS and I'm so confused. How do they not have a help phone number to reach a real person. I have no idea when I'm actually getting paid. I have no idea where to see if I put my bank information in correctly. The app is confusing, it's hard to change items even with the customer approval. Help
The app is very confusing. To input your bank information you have to login to Cornershop from your desktop. I believe the payday is on Thursday’s. I have a video of when I completed my first order.
ua-cam.com/video/HwSlpXV85iE/v-deo.html
That is absolutely ridiculous… The App saids 1.2 miles and then it’s 8 miles I don’t think so. I would cancel as well. What if you were allergic to an item like I’m deathly allergic to peaches. they could be in a bag but if someone touches the bag with that on their hands and I touch that bag I’ve got to be rushed to the hospital. That is so not fair.
Not knowing what products a driver is picking up can be a problem. The miles to an area you don’t want to be in. Totally understand that. Dumpling has rolled out zip codes maps. Potential customers see where I am willing to deliver.
How are you liking Dumpling so far?
I can't get passed the first order, due to Cornershop trying to send me to a different city. So I just turn the app off. There ridiculous 😒
you are so correct dimples. we are worth more than what these companies try to pay us, that is why i do not accept ubereats orders paying me 2.50
Good info. Because we’re independent contractors they have an obligation to be transparent. I think alot of Uber and new contractors/1099’ers just don’t know their rights and companies like Uber exploit that a bit. Calling support sounds helpful but down on optimizing time- are they responsive ?
Good to see you 😂😂😂
Happy to be here ☺️
Needed 2 orders at a Walmart near me for $50 today. The first order came in right away. The second order I waited in the parking lot for an hour and got no orders. Ended up just going home and not getting the $50 incentive :(. I wish orders were more consistent. Everything’s else about corner shop is great.
That is upsetting. Hopefully it will pick up in your area soon.
I use Stride to track milage. Do you use it? Is there a secret on how to print off mileage for taxes?
Yes I use stride. You export the document to a CSV and send that to your taxes prepare.
@@DimplesonDemand I don't know how to do that. Help
I don't think you're 100% correct I think what it is is that they have it in a different screen where you have to find it and it tells you all the items that you're getting before you accept the order it's not dummy proof I should say we're like McDonald's workers have a button that it's a small medium large and it shows you a Coke but I think they should be a little bit more user friendly I'm in a double check today or tomorrow when I do another order but I could remember actually seeing what I'm accepting before actually shopping
I am actually correct. You are only aware of the number of items prior to accepting the order. It is not until you accept the order, arrive at the store, then begin shopping that you can actually see the items that the customer has ordered.
@@DimplesonDemand I'm going to double check today I'm going to do some orders the only reason I'm pretty certain it does is because I only do one shopping app and I remember being able to see the items before I accepted the order
Ok keep me posted
Hi Dimples, why deliver in NJ instead of Long Island, isn't Long Island closer for you and no tolls? I would never go to Manhattan or NJ from Queens BECAUSE of the massive tolls on the Verizano bridge.
I live in NJ now 😊
They don't care. Not showing the address or even the intersection works for Uber rides so they're thinking it's fine for shoppers. Not showing the items cuts down on cherrypicking.
At least with Uber Eats it gives you an image of where it is on the map with a route and on mine it does say the intersection. So I’m able to at least know what neighborhood I’m going to and if it’s a neighborhood I’m willing to go to.
With Cornershop you have to get a into a pattern, when you delivery away from your home turn off the app and head back to the area you like and turn back on the app.
Good advice
@@DimplesonDemand keep doing your thing , your honesty is key
I am about to start doing the whole door dash/uber eats/possibly insta cart thing. Do you have any safety tips? Also, is insta cart worth it? I've heard from some people that they rush you too much & I can't be rushing around the store with my asthma 😅
Avoid areas that are not safe specially at nigh time, for ubereats try to work a $2 per mile ratio I average about 35 per hour
Take your time!
@@DimplesonDemand thank you I will 🙂
I just started on CS today at a 2x multiplier. It took me a minute to figure out how to send the alternates to the customer. The SOM didn’t tell me to click ‘contact customer’ to actually send them!!! Dumb! Also how long til you see tips? I made $54 in 90 mins or so (would have been 60 if the SOM told me to click that) so face value was very good and the miles were correct for me today.
It takes a few hrs for the tips to be reflected. Usually 2-5hrs was the longest I’ve waited. People usually tip between $5-$20 (depending on the order)
@@DimplesonDemand thanks girl! I’m hoping the tips are decent as I know both were home sick!
Yes fingers crossed 🤞🏾
New to CS. Does anyone happen to know if they penalize for low acceptance rates? or for dropped orders after accepting (completion rate)?
Good question. I’m sure there is a penalty for dropping orders. I will email them and ask and get back to you with an answer.
@@DimplesonDemand much appreciated!
I doubt it. For example last night, I accepted one with a 1.8x flash promo multiplier which projected a $30 payout. But a few seconds afterward they sent out a flash alert with 2x multiplier deal for this one particular supermarket location. Right after canceling the 1.8x/$30 delivery, the delivery request with 2x and expected payout of $47 popped up. Hell yeah of course I accepted it.
Not an instant penalty, but over time, maybe.
They've said on their calls with drivers that low acceptance doesn't impact you negatively but I don't believe them. They're tracking for a reason and I doubt it's for our benefit. I also hate how they send me the same order over and over and over which lowers my acceptance rate. I'm in single digits.
These companies are trying to play y'all. Crew that money. Safety first always. I don't care the reason anyone gives. If they aren't comfortable going to the area they should accept it without any flack. They don't provide you with a car, and no insurance. Keep doing good work and be safe out there!
Thank you Elton 🙌🏾
@@DimplesonDemand Always welcome. Just subscribed to the channel. I have been watching for a small while, you have earned it. Enjoy the content. I don't do this work but I appreciate those that do. 🔥
Thank you for the support ☺️
It is so dangerous driving when orders coming up , because we should check details information
Yeah they're taking advantage of people Uber likes to do that too but no one will work if they do that
Hey 👋
Em qual cidade você mora??
New York
I tried to sign up but its saying sign up is paused in your area?
Have your tried another zone?
@@DimplesonDemand ya i did different town but can i try in other state? and do it on nj
@@sonalpatel8911 I’ve done both NY and NJ.
@@DimplesonDemand i dont get it i think they have opening for NY i know that but if i get approve for NY than can i use in NJ?
ok i i am trying to do from morristown and its opening but can i use everywhere? Thank you so much
I guess they aren’t hiring in my area there’s a pause 🙁
Use another area, where you know they are hiring. After being accepted, you can always sign on in any area.
@@DimplesonDemand than you
@@DimplesonDemand hi Dimples 👋, Can I sign up in a different state that's hiring and work in my actual area?
I would say yes. I signed up to work in New York initially and now I work in New Jersey. At that time Jersey wasn’t even an option.
@@DimplesonDemand ok thank you 😊 I'll try signing up today. How long does the approval take? I do instacart, DD and UE currently. Always looking for a new gig. I'm a caregiver as well working on opening a Homecare Agency here in Ga. So all coins count lol
It is dangerous you need to see the area you going into
👍🏾👍🏾
By the time you do all that, somebody else will take the order.
I do it all the time. You have to be fast.
