I bought that Libby doll, dressed in school uniform, from Sears in 1979 in Hollywood, California. It didn't cost much. It was in a solid cardboard box. Weird, right? I also got a set of original vintage Sunshine Barbie grandparents, also in cardboard box for a few bucks. The old man had a rooted mustache and beard. My little sister hated them, but loved the Libby. LOL. BTW: It's so nice to see you charming guys back. You two know so much about your dolls and have wonderful presentations.

LOVE THE PRESENTATION! Glad you are back! Not familiar with this amazing Doll line - I was a toddler in 1963!!! The clothes are exquisite in quality. The dolls are true to the age group they represent. I am facinated by their sculptured knees!!! The time period looks like a combination of the 1950's with early 1960's - Mother doll is like Eve Arden's OUR MISS BROOKS, Dad & little sister doll is like FATHER KNOWS BEST, and big sister Judy is like GIDGET and THE PATTY DUKE SHOW! Why didn't this amazing Doll line last?

Thank you for a wonderful presentation. I have a collection of these dolls too! They weren't around very long which is quite sad. The quality of the outfits was amazing! They certainly don't make dolls and outfits like this anymore.

I found a Libby Littlechap doll with a white top and jeans and one shoe. Not a fan of the weird stance, but the clothes seem to be very good quality. The jeans have a working zipper and both pieces on my doll are sturdy, no tears. She is just an odd doll, like the tomboy little sister, not even a Skipper type, more like an awkward Scooter. 😂 You guys are hilarious, love the interactions. I hope you post more videos! George YASSS! Doll wigs!!!! Daing, I would love it!!!

I never thought about the Little Chap family but their extensive line of fashions has me intrigued, especially as they are tagged. I will keep my eyes open a little wider in my treasure hunts and see if I can find any of these wonderful items.
Thanks so much and looking forward to your next video! You all do a great and entertaining presentation!

I remember the Littlechap Family (looked ugly and weird to me when I was 6) commercials and I hated the song they sang, "Littlchaps, here they come!" That has came to my mind 60 years after hearing it, which is why I Googled it today and found you. Now that's some effective jingle!

Have you guys checked out any of the new repro dolls? I got the Malibu Gift Set and the 73 Doctor Barbie is on its way. I have original Malibu, Christie and the Dr set. The repro Malibu is not as nice as the original re face paint/sticker. The PJ and Christie are great. The hands are different and so are the feet. Did you see the repro Ken? Please make more videos!

The word for the unpopular Littlechap dolls was "awkward".They are awkward which to me is their cham, These fashion dolls are unlike any other. Judy Littlechap with her beautiful face was said to represent Jacqueline Kennedy. It is unique that they come in great bathtowels over bathing suits. I find them to be in a world of their own and so easy to get into. They are said to represent an upper class family with their beautiful well made classic clothes. The concept suits me to a tee, but not relatable to their mass audience, I guess. Yes, they are Barbie competitors but they really stand on their own as something different. The one thing that could have done with a little re-working at the Remco factory was Lisa littlechap's 'beehive' hairdo. As all will attest! Her up-do is a bit collected at her forehead as we are all left scratching our heads.... Love the Littlechaps who have yet to become globe trotting fashion models prefering the stay close to home suburban life instead. Thanks fopr highlighting them in your great video.

I don't think any of the dolls came as dressed dolls as they all had the different colored terrycloth stripes.
