Those shots were incredible! I don’t have clear water near me but headed to Hawaii this summer. Can’t wait to shoot things like turtles and waves there.
Such a nice shot Tom! They are all outstanding really. But the one money shot is beyond EPIC! Perfect timing mate. I’m so stoked to have found you on YT. Keep up the amazing work. Legendary!!! Can’t wait for the next video.
Another awesome video. Love these bts ones. Quick question about a fisheye lens - I've never used one - but I would have thought putting an extender on would mean you'd get some of the extender at the edge of the frame because it's so wide??
Hey Hannah, yeah your extender cannot be too far out. The narrow one I used in this video is built specifically for the 8-15mm lens by Aquatech so when at 15mm there is no vignetting. If I used my large extender then it would definitely vignette. The trick is to get the lens as far from the dome port as possible without vignetting for underwater shots.
From what I understand it gets your lens further from the virtual image on the dome port thus giving your camera an easier chance to focus on that virtual image.
Just subscribed and really enjoying your work/videos/beach/waveage!!
Thanks so much for subscribing Sherri.. appreciate your support and Im so glad you like the videos

Nice work Tom. Wide angle work is definitely missing from my game.

Thank Tom, but I have not understood very well the function of the extender, apart from that it does not collide with the dome port

Yes that is correct

@@dreamlifephotography I had been trying everytime I went out. I need to find some clearer waves like you did.
