they didn't remove the figure room, they just moved it to be after door 50, the room I think was removed is one of the generator move where the area was ALSO a fire area meaning you had to go to the other room each time you get a light bulbe to not brun to death
Fun fact: the giggles and screeches aren't different entities, in one of the endings seek defeats the grumble, halfway through the transformation the giggle looked like a screech, so my theory is that screeches are actually giggles working for seek.

It's just practice and game knowledge. I play a lot of doors and pressure so once I played on the 2nd day of launch I beat it pre patch.
