Miracle friend inspires MercyMe’s powerful new song

- The band’s new single, "Say I Won’t" is inspired by the story of Gary Miracle, who lost his arms and legs after falling into septic shock due to complications from the flu.
Amen! I was a brand new 45 y/o nurse in 2006 when I began to speak like Yoda and walk drunk. Later I was diagnosed with Brain Vasculitis and was given approximately 3yrs to live. My husband eventually left me as I got worse in my symptoms. But then God smiled 😁. I am still here😇. My arteries in my brain opened. The inflammation disappeared. The multiple strokes left me a bit like Dori in "Finding Nemo" 🥰🦋 but God's Grace is sufficient for me and I praise Him every day for second chances! God is so good to me😊 2021💃
With God all things are possible, and He helped you thru it and once again the prince of darkness lost, keep the faith and God bless

Such a good story out of a terrible trial. I had severe sepsis with kidney failure two days after my mother passed away. It is a terrible thing to have. I am so blessed to have survived with no kidney damage. God is good. I am sorry yours was so rough. Good that you have a sense of humor! Only way.
His faith is the miracle! See many people with all their faculties but continually down because they are trying to do it all on their own!

I was very angry when I broke my ankle. But hearing this man's story really brought me back to earth. God is good, and He doesn't give up on us. We just have to be willing to let Him work in our lives. GOD IS GOOD and HE DOESN'T GIVE UP ON US!!!

Beginning on Oct. 16, 2022, my life changing journey began. I started out with severe, strange looking, and extremely painful blisters on my right foot. I was about to become homeless for a 6 month length of time since the campground we live in from mid-April through mid-October was closing the same night I went to the ER. The plans we had to stay with 1 of 2 camping friends had fallen through, so we were going to live in our Jeep until we could find reliable and safe winter lodging. I was sent back to our vehicle in about 90 mins after arrival with a ridiculous diagnosis. I am a disabled former nurse, and I know they had no idea what was wrong. By Nov. 19th, they admitted I was correct, and I had a bone infection as well as blocked arteries in my right leg. So a below the knee amputation took place on 11/23/2022. My faith in God has been strong all of my life, and I pray/talk to him daily. I suffered a huge panic attack a week or so prior to the surgery and cried out to God to help me get through this chapter. I am at the point where they will be casting me, and I can't wait. I was absolutely terrified about being an amputee at my age (68), but God showed me what I needed to do and gave me the strength to move forward. I do something new pretty much every day now, and I can't wait to get my leg on or about March 10th. You are an amazing man and family and you are an inspiration to so many as well.
I have always loved Mercy Me but was curious about the title "Say I Won't ". 43 yrs ago when I became disabled my Orthopedist wasn't sure I would walk again because of my spinal injury but I told him don't tell me I can't/won't do something because I WILL just to prove you wrong. LOL. Thank you for telling us your story. You are all so BLESSED!!!!
