- Cape Route 62 is the tourist route in the Western Cape and Eastern Cape, South Africa that meanders between Cape Town and Oudtshoorn, the Langkloof and Port Elizabeth, offering the shorter, scenic alternative to the N2 highway.

How are the road conditions
@@lionelvolkwyn2440 roads are fine except the part through North West province, Wolmaranstad is particularly bad, Potch to Jo'burg is not advisable to drive after dark. The part through Klerksdorp and the road to Potch is also full of potholes. From Kimberley all the way to the west coast is a pleasureable drive.
EX DURBANITE now living in Cape Town. I have travelled the the N1 AND N2 many times . I stayed over at many little towns on the way. Great video.

After all the hype I did R62 from Barrydale to Outshoorn......and I was very dissappointed ! There ARE better routes in our country.
