How is the Lahaina, Kaanapali & Pacific Railroad doing in August 2017? when i had heard it closed in 2014, i was like D'ooooh. Glad to hear it has been renovated and back in business. Is the full length of the railroad back in use? This is one tourist railroad that deserves a feature article in Trains or Railfan & Railroad Magazine.
I'm so pleased to hear about the refurbishing etc. The rail definitely needs to be replaced since it was originally acquired from the Kahului Railroad and was well-used rail back when Mr. McKelvey originally had the railroad built. I have not seen any comments about the turntable at the Lahaina Station end of the system? And what about the condition of the large trestle bridge?
