Lilly said the competitions were completely real and that the only reason people might think it’s fake is because the routines were done twice and the second time it wasn’t judged. The second time was just with a guy walking around on the stage with a camera. She said the judging was legitimate and she doesn’t think that judge came for 10 seconds to be on Dance Moms.

i stopped watching at the beginning of season 2 i didn't like the way the kids were screamed at by Abby i know you want your child to do their best but to me screaming at them is not the right way to get that from them discipline yes screaming NO. i thought the pyramid thing was mean too. it's a fact of life someone will always be better than you but to rub kids faces in it like that was awful and so much pressure is put on kids in dance my own kid did it for a while when she was younger but she hated the way the teacher treat them all so asked if she had to go which obviously she didn't if she wasn't enjoying it

There's actually a term for all these tactics: mental abuse. Having a "golden child" who can get away with what gets everyone else screamed at, pitting them all against each other, definitely the constant screaming for minor errors.... I would definitely class this as abuse. And then to have that translate even to people who ask a question in a way she dislikes, over whom she has no right to demand anything.... This woman had no self-control either. Watching this makes me so angry.

I met Abby a few years ago and she wasn’t wanting to speak with me unless I went up to her (we were in a restaurant and she was with a very large group) the only reason I got to meet her was because my waiter made her aware I was autistic and she said I could come over with the waiter. The particular episode that did it for me was the one where they accused Abby of coaching Maddie through a skip on a CD and then recreating it live so that when she easily danced through the skip, she would win as a result. Now, think about it for a second. Forget whether the accusation is true or false. If you believed it were true, why would you continue to expose your child to that sort of a person? And if the answer is "Because they didn't want to rob their child of an amazing opportunity," then why did they air it out on camera? Does anyone in their right mind think for one moment that any of them were not keenly aware when they were on or off camera? No.

Actually, the only reason why kalani was on dance moms was because when kalani was battling trinity on audc, kalani did a move wrong. So when Abby was announcing the winner, Abby said trinity was out, when she meant kalani was out. So she made it up to her by letting her come on dance moms.
Both shows were connected. AUDC was a way to find new conflicts for dance moms. And Kalani was a new conflict which happened to grow into a full time spot on the team. AUDC was fake also. Both are staged.

Hi I'm sorry but the thing about the fake competitions is not true, my dance studio (including me) actually went against them. If your going to dis a show do your research

A lot of the competitions after Season 4 were faked due to labor laws. However, the rest of the ALDC could compete (as in those not on the show).
Kalani and Kira confirmed that the competitions were fake you may have went against them but they were at the studio *LIVE*

Thanks for the bit about the music. This confused me, as they used "real songs" the first couple of seasons.
I knew that it was fale here are my reasons
1. I watched the Q&A of the Irreplaceables tour
2. I danced at one competition and it was 3 DAYS LONG. The first day solos second day trios duos and modeling
3. The dance numbers. Say if Maddie had a Lyrical solo and JoJo had a hip hop solo they would not be numbers 43&44
4. Copywrite One of Nia's solos at the beginning seams like it would be Fancy by Iggy Azelia(dont know how to spell her name) but it's not
5. The awards. Duo's and Trio's are not in the same category
6. You dont go straight to overalls- First your solo had to win best in the age division for the type of dance
7. It takes longer than 3 days to enroll- you have to enroll for a competition months before it happens.
8. Judges- for the Step up 2 dance competitions there r the same judges like there always are. Those fakers can fake but we all know the real judges.
9. The calling? When it's time for your dance the host will not say your name
10. Music stops- when I did my solo the music glitched so you would do ypur solo but afterwards you would redo it with music

Not all of the things are true for all competitions.
Yes the multiple day thing is true, the longest one I’ve gone to is 5 days.
But I have been to competitions where as long as everyone that is eligible to be in the overalls have competed then it’s just one awards, this is done so you don’t have to be there as long waiting around for awards taking up change room space.
I have also been to competitions where they will call your name if it’s a solo, often they will call a studio name or if they do letters for different studios they will say the letter, but not all do this.
Duos and trios, depending on the size of the category they will be together or separate, no point in have two categories of two people when you can have one with four.
Yes it definitely takes longer then three days for most places, but we already know that the producers would give out what everyone is doing, so they probably did do it months in advance, the once or twice (that I have seen I have missed episodes) when they suddenly find somewhere to go is probably baced off availableity, they are going in with only 2-5 faced most of the time smaller competitions might still have room.
Tbh I don’t quite understand what you’re saying about the judge thing.
Another thing witch gave it away for me is the wings at competitions normally their full or even if not full quite a few people (the next number or two) and in smaller groups friends to support it wish you luck. The latter once’s didn’t have that.
All competitions have different policies on music but I know a couple times it was the filming time not the competitions time they danced that the music failed.
And your totally right about the numbers. Yeah occasionally their back to back as the categories switch but very rarely and not as much as they show in competitions.
