Cup final day was always special back then. I used to watch it all in the 80's. My team Forest came so close in the late 80's and in 91 when Gazza's Spurs beat us in extra time
Everyone sung it back on the day. Just Liverpool carried it on same here we go and Everton. Etc etc etc and many more songs. You'll be claiming to be q Cockley next. First team I heard sing ynwa was Dail Square . And I hate them
Why can't we see the first match in full which is normally the best one when there's a replay needed. All of the finals that need a replay just give highlights of match one.
Great footage of a memorable day - do you happen to have any footage of the first part of the BBC Grandstand? especially the Q.P.R. players at their hotel and the cameras on the coach. I have managed to upload a lot of this but the first VHS tape I have of the coverage got damaged. Cheers.
Hi, (just replying from a different account) - I edited the CUP FINAL tape at the time, back in 1982, so unfortunately do not have the unedited VHS anymore.
Typical Essex boy comment if your from london your know bow bells ain't from Bow.😂 Mary-le-Bow, Cheapside, in the City of London. It has been estimated that, prior to the noise of traffic, the sound of the Bow Bells reached about 6 miles (10 km) to the east, 5 miles (8 km) to the north, 4 miles (6 km) to the we
East London were a force but not undefeated bollocks. Everyone been done net alone 35 years plus 10. Get your facts right about Cockley and bow bells.😂
Not a great game, quite boring really! I suppose after the Spurs v Man City FA Cup Final replay the previous year it was never going to live up to that. Great memories travelling up to Wembley for the game then coming back to Bournemouth and then back up the following morning at 6am to queue up for replay tickets!!! 🙈

44mins in - did the ball actually go out of play before Roberts scored- I don't think it did ?
Tottenham, the dream team and the dark horse of the 1980s

Attendance for the 1982 FA Cup Final was a sellout crowd of 100,000 fans.
The only "Cockney Cup Final" would be Leyton Orient v West Ham!
Chelsea and QPR are West London and Spurs are North" tsk tsk John Motson!
