Bangkok is the land of malls I heard! There are so many and they all offer something different. Sometimes you just have to get things when you are traveling full time. The mall food is so cheap! 😮
For a Bangkok people probably it's up to what we want at that day. For example: -If you want to go to eat cheap and tasty food court like you guys terminal 21 is a good choice or the Mall like Samyan Mitr town Mall. -If you want to buy cheap local trendy clothes Platinum Mall is a good choice. -The tourist who want to buy a cheap knock off bags or clothes MBK Mall is a good choice as there are a lot of those knock off products there and most seller over there speak good english most of them are Indian and Myanmar. For Bangkok people MBK Mall is the place where they could fix all kinds of smart phones even sometimes the company said it couldn't fix just the same as Fortune town Mall where they sells a lot of electronic stuffs and the opposite side of the road of Fortune town Mall is the famous Central Rama9 Mall you can cross the road by the MRT underground train tunnel and beside Central world Mall is the famous Jodd fair market. -If you want to buy genuine high-end brands such as Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Balenciaca, Hermes, etc. Just go to the high-end malls. Or if you want to shopping the normal middle-class clothes or stuffs like Nike, Adidas, puma, Uniqlo, Coach just go to any normal middle-class mall. -If you want to go a mall that has a lot of seperate famous restaurants many people chose to go to the mall like Central East Ville or any famous Avenues or Mega Bangna or even Japan town or Korean town. If you want to buy Grocery just go to Makro, Lotus, Big C, Tops, Max Valu, Foodland, Lotus express. Max Valu and Foodland used to open 24/7 like 7-11 before Covid but I'm not sure for nowaday. I have to say different places in Bangkok have different vibes too, sometimes you just want to go wherever you want that not making sense or sometimes you just want to have no plan and just go to the random places, if you are here in Bangkok you'll understand what I mean. LOL. Probably because there are a lot of things going on and made people in this city a bit confuse about plan and time. LOL You guys are Welcome my friend💕💕
Hi, thanks for the great video. The two other good malls around is The Emporium\Emquartier (right where you got on the BTS in this video). Also Central World is very big, opposite to the Hyatt, a few more BTS stations down.
I'm from Bangkok so I will answer few of my go to mall. "Central World" "Siam Paragon" "Siam Discover" "MBK" those mention above can be access with one skywalk in the center of Bangkok especially those at "Siam" area. Central World is probably the most prefer place for many, I used to visit all of the above mall in one go for the walk and window-shopping trip. "Emquartiar" and "Emporium" are luxury mall in Prompong area which next station from the Asoke Terminal21.that area has Japanese community, so I tend to find authentic Japanese restaurant around that place. new IKEA mall is state to be these 2 neighbors in the future. and lastly, ICONSIAM is definitely the best in Bangkok at the moment no contest.
FYI, Terminal 21 (BKK) is by far "NOT" a mega mall. Many Thai people consider it quite small. It's only ranked at #38 in the Thailand malls list (45,000 sq m). Here's the complete list >> en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_largest_shopping_malls_in_Thailand
555 Going only one stop can be a life saver in the heat. I do often. And T21 and Pier 21 - they are my favourites. Don't know how often I have visited them. My telephone says 100 times since November 2022, but in reality it was more. Happy you enjoyed food there. Sometimes I only take a mango or watermelon smoothie in Pier 21. Have a nice time always.
Hey Trevor and Anna I must have missed your last video because you’re now in Bangkok. I like that Sky train idea it’s pretty cool. Love the Mall its massive 😍 I’m definitely putting Bangkok on my go to list in future.
We are from Nova Scotia as well and been to Bangkok twice so far (another trip planned for summer.) Favourite mall is Siam Paragon (aquarium, bowling alleys, cinemas, lots of restaurants and fast food options.) ICON Siam is amazing and not to be missed. The best is the market in the bottom floor that is made to be like a Thai market. MBK has cheaper goods (many knock-offs of higher end stuff) and you can negotiate price there. They have a full floor of electronic goods so you may get a better price there for a go-pro. Love your videos. Enjoy the “Land of Smiles.”
Hey, I heard this week that Bangkok just got its very first Tim Horton's!!! We Ontarians aren't that pretentious, but it's still something nice to learn! 😄 Enjoy your travels, wherever you are!
Asok Area IS amazing !!! Terminal 21 IS spectacularly huge exactly so many things to enjoy it with good food And stores And places to walk around easily as well 🤣 i love your presentation with fun And smile though 😀🙏
Hi Anna and Teevor! Good to see you after so long. You guys gave me an idea for writing. Thank you. 🥰 That dessert looks very good. The mall looked massive. We have a smaller version of it here in Kochi. If you ever visit Kochi in Kerala, visit Lulu Mall. Take care and see you soon in the next video. Thailand is on my bucket list.
RESTROOMS are the most famous points of Terminal21, there are differences floor by floor depend on which city of the theme. I love ROME where u can find Roman sculpture in the restroom!!!
I like Terminal 21 mall. 4:28 like the color of that onesie, Anna. It will look great on you.😉 I’m just wondering if each floor with the country theme has its own restaurants and cafes showcasing foods and desserts of the country. That would be a nice food adventure. You didn’t order much in the food court. I was expecting you will try different foods and make use of the card you purchase and see how much you can spend for food reviews since the displays are cheap. Is $5 enough to go around and be satisfyingly full? 😋😋
I loved this vlog so much! I'm just back from Thailand and our last stop was Bangkok. The malls are absolutely insane and seem to all have their unique personalities and specialties. For people who love high quality brand name knockoffs, MBK would be the place to go. On the other end of the spectrum, I fell in love with Icon SIAM for its architecture, the Icon Luxe side (where I mostly just did window shopping), and the Souk on the ground floor that has possibly the most beautiful food court I have ever seen, including a replica of a floating market. They also had a grocery/produce section where we bought bottles of good quality wine for very affordable prices (I find wine fairly pricey in Thailand). As for the GoPro and 360 RS1" request for advice, I would say that your vlogs don't need a GoPro as your personalities are the big draw! If you'd have to pick between a GoPro or the 360 RS 1 inch, I would go with the 360. I bought one for my husband for Christmas and the quality of the raw footage we have is wild. We are not vloggers and haven't had the opportunity to edit much of the footage but the Leica lenses and 1 inch sensor make a huge difference compared to the previous Insta 360 we had by way of quality in daytime and most notably in lower lighting conditions. I think it may be interesting but again, we plan on using it more just in B-roll type content as we don't speak to an audience on camera. I will say that in some circumstances - especially for stills we upload to FB - nothing really conveys the grandeur of a landscape as the 360 does; a flat 2D image sometimes just doesn't really cut it. I find watching back 360 footage, I feel more immersed i the environment again, and it's more of an interactive experience rather than passively absorbing the content. Well, there I go rambling again. Bottom line, I love you guys' content and you definitely don't "need" the extra bells and whistles for your style of content. However, if you want to get some more tech, I'd get the 360 first :)
A mall like that would provide some ‘cabin fever’ relief during a long cold Canadian winter 🥶 🏬! Between the damaged drone and now the GoPro - hopefully that’s it for bad luck in the electronic equipment department, at least for a long time 🤞🏽.
Hi Guys. Fellow Canadians living in Costa Rica but heading for Thailand at the end of March. We are hoping to visit Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai but have been reading about the air pollution from the burning. Your opinion? We are starting out in Phuket where we have friends, and we’re then planning to go north and finish up in Bangkok. We have a little less than three weeks.
Hey Catherine.. we haven't been up north in Thailand but we did hear lots about 'burning season'. It sounds like it's not the best time to go (from what we were told) You never know though! 👍 - Trevor
@@DelightfulTravellers Please visit "Bann Rak Thai"at Maehongsorn province. There is full of natural and culture city like you were in the novel with a beautiful lake set in a valley surrounded by hills.
That's a tough call. We were in Chiang Mai January 30 to Feb 5 and can confirm that the Burning Season had begun. It didn't detract much from our enjoyment as I really wanted to see the North this time (it was my second time in Thailand) and it was fairly early in the season. The one thing that is most apparent is that from the City, you can't see the mountains clearly, and (of course) when you are at gorgeous sites like Doi Suthep, you're supposed to be overlooking all of Chiang Mai, but instead you mostly see white haze with a faint outline of buildings - if you are lucky. The history and architecture (so many temples!!!) are still there to enjoy, along with the best Thai food you will encounter (IMHO - Northern Thai cuisine is amazing) and a warm welcome by the locals. The Nimmanheim area is a great area to stay in with loads of coffee shops, restaurants, large market area called One Nimman, with plenty of good quality clean and affordable hotels. So, yeah... there are still worthwhile reasons to go, but the haze does detract from the natural beauty of your surroundings. To what extent it will affect you is hard to gauge. It didn't bother us much, and we are glad we went, but again - we weren't there at the height of it.
I like the food court of Terminal 21 most because food price is only half price of others place. But the size of this mall can say small when compare to others mall even in suburb around Bangkok eg. Mega Bangna , Fashion Island. The Mall In Bangkapi, Ngamwongwan
Anna & Trevor, you ain't seen nothing yet. Do check out Gaysorn/Central World (at BTS Ploenchit Station), Siam Paragon/Siam Center/Siam Discovery/MBK (at BTS Siam Station), and last but not least, Icon Siam on the river (BTS Saphan Taksin Station + free shuttle ferry from there) etc. etc.
Or going to ICONSIAM mall, You may also take the train from BTS Saphan Taksin Station, cross over to BTS Krung Thon Buri Station and change to the BTS Gold Line . For those who are afraid of the river
Wow I have been to the malls in Bangkok but not this one! So cool to theme each floor! But I was expecting a more elaborate tour of the food court options. Can you tell us the different kind of food options? Was there Japanese food? Or Mediterranean food? Italian options? Mexican food? Just curious. Thanks! Great vlog! 👍
The food court, the owner want to get traffic the they lower the rent than other malls to make food price affordable. "Tom Yum" can be use how to seasoning the soup like what you had. However, the real Tom Yum Goong (prawn) is another version. 😊
Bangkok has the most malls in Southeast Asia. And there are the best Luxury mall in the world such as Icon Siam mall. Or a department store that has been renovated with great results such as Siam Center. It has more than 100 shopping malls and it is increasing every year. And is building the second largest department store in the world called The Bangkok and by the end of this year there will be another 4-5 large mall. There are also 7-Eleven in the second largest number in the world after Japan. But with the size of the 7-Eleven store, the size of the store is larger than that of Japan.
@@DelightfulTravellers Anna you should try them, have a different feel but yet similar in some way to terminal 21. You would probably be able to find your electronic fix at MBK center (Ma Boon Krong). Just for your information, if you are looking for cheap fashion clothes, try Platinum Fashion Mall. It’s kind of street market clothing in the mall. Good Luck and enjoy your stay in Thailand.
I'm not sure I'd spend 7-800 dollars on a camera I didn't use much. I think the drone is a necessity, the under water camera, while nice isn't used much, so I'd opt out of replacing it.
to enjoy good tasting Thai food, you should learn to balance tastes,or the flavors. 1. Salty 2. Sour. 3. Sweet. 4. Spicy 5. Savory or umami When you use the thai condiments first, you should taste your food before adding anything . Once you realize what your food needs for taste , then you add in accordingly. Before you leave the condiment area, give your food last tasting. Once again, learn how to balance those five tastes and you will enjoy Thai food much more. hope this help.
1) say no to crocs! Just don’t do it 😂 2) mango sticky rice with a side of coconut ice cream!? 🤔😏 I don’t know what it is, but the whole world has amazing malls like this one… America’s barely exist now. 🤷🏻♂️
Honestly? I think it’s just laziness. No one wants to walk to the stores or even drive to one anymore. Amazon delivers to pretty much every inch of this country now. Throw in the discontent of being social with people and no more malls 🤷🏻♂️
@@DelightfulTravellers Ruam Sab hands down. But I prefer the night markets, Talat Phlu night market by the train station is my favorite in the center. But Rod Fai Srinakarin is amazing if willing to take the trip. And Chinatown obviously. The small foodcourt by Central Rama 9 (Ground level) has amazing khao kha moo, almost at the level of the cowgirl in Chiang Mai
The US dollar today is only worth in the poor and developing world like thailand, campuchia, india, africa etc but in the developed and rich world the dollar is inflated and less valuable.
@@DelightfulTravellers I have a pair that I'll wear kayaking sometimes. They are pretty comfortable and will probably last 10 yrs. Still don't think I like them!
That is nowhere near the best food court on Bkk. Plenty of local ones right near there and around places like Siam where all the office workers go. The food quality isn't great either at Termnial, some of the worst Thai food I've had an I'VE been many times.

So good to know thanks!
If you are looking for a variety of clothes I suggest you go to The Platinum Fashion Mall. ☺️
Thanks for the tip!
There are several great go-pro alternatives that are way cheaper.
I can confirm, it is cheapest air conditioned food court in Bangkok.

To repair GoPro try to go to "Big Camera" or "Zoom Camera". They sell GoPro but I am not sure, they repair.
Thanks for letting us know 🤗 - Anna

Have you try icon Siam mall or MaBoonKong Mall?
Not yet! - Anna
You should do a icon siam mall
It's on the ever growing list!
I'm not sure I'd spend 7-800 dollars on a camera I didn't use much. I think the drone is a necessity, the under water camera, while nice isn't used much, so I'd opt out of replacing it.
We're thinking the same thing to Jeff - Trevor
to enjoy good tasting Thai food, you should learn to balance tastes,or the flavors. 1. Salty 2. Sour. 3. Sweet. 4. Spicy 5. Savory or umami
When you use the thai condiments
first, you should taste your food before adding anything .
Once you realize what your food needs for taste , then you add in accordingly.
Before you leave the condiment area, give your food last tasting.
Once again, learn how to balance those five tastes and you will enjoy Thai food much more.
hope this help.
It's Chinese music on the background probably due to Chinese new year hasn't passed so long.
Ah that’s probably it!- Trevor
Name three staff positions in a food court.
Just say no to Crocs! :)
haha
👍🙂👏🙋

Instead of a GoPro I use a waterproof phone case!
Which one? Does it overheat your phone? - Trevor
@@DelightfulTravellers i dont remember the brand, one with good reviews on amazon 😄 and no it does not!
Press follow.👍😄
🤙
1) say no to crocs! Just don’t do it 😂
2) mango sticky rice with a side of coconut ice cream!? 🤔😏
I don’t know what it is, but the whole world has amazing malls like this one… America’s barely exist now. 🤷🏻♂️
A couple people mentioned how malls in America are going extinct. What's going on with that Matty? Are shops moving to cities / downtowns? - Trevor
Honestly? I think it’s just laziness. No one wants to walk to the stores or even drive to one anymore. Amazon delivers to pretty much every inch of this country now. Throw in the discontent of being social with people and no more malls 🤷🏻♂️
Its cheap fore sure, but best food court? That's pushing it (to put it mildly)
What's your favourite one? - Trevor
😭😭 Terminal 21 has the worst food court in Sukhumvit road..🥺
Mbk is much smaller but also much better.
The US dollar today is only worth in the poor and developing world like thailand, campuchia, india, africa etc but in the developed and rich world the dollar is inflated and less valuable.
ควรหมุนเวียนให้ร้านใหม่มาบ้าง เพราะดูสภาพอาหารแย่ลงเรื่อยๆ ไม่มีการแข่งขัน
No crocks! 😅😅😅
😅haha
@@DelightfulTravellers I have a pair that I'll wear kayaking sometimes. They are pretty comfortable and will probably last 10 yrs. Still don't think I like them!
That is nowhere near the best food court on Bkk. Plenty of local ones right near there and around places like Siam where all the office workers go. The food quality isn't great either at Termnial, some of the worst Thai food I've had an I'VE been many times.
คุณทั้งสองกลับมาแล้ว ไชโย! ขอให้คุณมีความสุข และ ปลอดภัยตลอดไปในประเทศไทยครับ
