I remember my Lola Conching used to own one. When we were kids back in the early 70's, Lola would send her Ford fiera to fetch us in Surigao del sur to bring us to Iligan city. Back then, there were only rough and gravel roads. It would take 2 days for the trip. We are a family of 6 kids, plus my mother and a couple of house help. My father would be left as he is working. The trip is long, enjoyable and memorable at the same time. We snuggle at the back with our pillows and all. We would bring for BAON, hard boild eggs, fried vienna sausage, adobong manok, potted meat and liver spread sandwiches and of course rice. We would experience flat tires often as the roads are all gravel and some are still being built. When it rains, we would pull the clear canvas down. We were comfortable at the back, we played games, and do stops at public schools to rest and to sleep at night! Very good memories!
Ganda-ganda! grade 5 or 6 ata ao nun. Sa EDSA JD liner, DM transit, California bus lines, later on nagkaron...uy rhyme?...nagkaron ng Manila transit (japan surplus na hino), tapos nagkaron ng LoveBUS (tawag namin mani-LABAS). Sarap ng gulaman sa EDSA-Ortigas bustop (galleria now). Sa EDSA traffic sa Farmers lang. Haaay!
thanks for the info. our files dont have the year info kasi so we need help from people who knew the exact year of a certain ad. im amazed the video texture of this tv ad looks like the 80's.
80's in Philippines, but these absolutely in video quality and fashion-wise belongs to the 70s. Try searching for ads of Kia, Samsung (Korea) or Singapore Airlines in the 80s - way clearer, more definition and has cheesy music like synths and pianos I think?
Sayang yung Filipino automotive engineering and design. Our pinoy designers really came out with the best utility vehicles back then. That's why our generation so fondly remembers these great "haulers". Some of us owned them, some rode them as school buses or going to excursions in tagaytay, errands to cubao etc. how I miss hearing those distinctive squeaks from the leaf springs of these fine beasts. No. They were never ever called "jeepneys". They were called by their own names: the Ford Fierra. The Cimmaron. The FMC Pinoy. The GMC Harabas. The DMG (Volkswagen) Sakbayan and Trakbayan. And yes, The Toyota Tamaraw.
By the way, may mga naka-Expedition din ba sa Pampanga?
So far as I can remember, the engine of the gasoline type of the fiera of this time is a 1.4 and 1.6 liter Toyota Engine. . . I knew cause my uncle had the earlier model of the fiera in 1977. until now upon watching this ad I wonder why it is a FORD.
@rosebellbee sarao is sarao and francisco is francisco. they are separate. sarao is dead, francisco is dead but their descendants are now bringing in Great Wall motors in the philippines.

thanks for the info. our files dont have the year info kasi so we need help from people who knew the exact year of a certain ad. im amazed the video texture of this tv ad looks like the 80's.
From the google search I think it was 1975
Base from it's design, Ford Fierra is i think a 70' jeepney. Maybe mid to late 70's.
Mid to late 70's
My grandpa had this jeep
