How To Flutter Kick | Master Series
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 лют 2025
- The flutter kick, often shrouded in misunderstanding among divers, is one of the most misconstrued propulsion techniques in the sport. Typically introduced during initial open water training, it's a skill seldom directly taught by instructors. Instead, divers tend to mimic what they observe, leading to less-than-optimal performance.
Unfortunately, many beginners continue with this acquired method throughout their diving journey, not realizing its limitations. This video aims to shed light on the flutter kick, showcasing its proper execution, common pitfalls, and ideal scenarios for its use.

Incredible
Could you do videos about hovering and fin pivot?
Hi there, these 2 you mention are PADI specific "tricks" rather than actual skills. Hovering is a direct sideeffect of correct buoyancy and breathing technique (coming up next), and the fin pivot is a byproduct of a shortcut originating from suboptimal skill teaching. I bet you want to master these two because you want to pass a specific course. I suggest you instead of focusing on core diving skills such as correct weighting, breathing, trim and propulsion then all these so called PADI skills will become laughable and so easy that it will be second nature to perform. We are currently working on videos that you need to get the whole picture, so stay tuned.
Watch our newest video about buoyancy control! If you practise and master the techniques outlined in the video, you will never have any issues with hovering.
