- Every year on the first sailing of the season, a group of carferry enthusiasts referred to as the "Milwaukee Mafia" sails to kick off the season. To commemorate the 70th season of sailing, they created a plaque to honor the BADGER's first Captain, Bernard "Bunny" Robertson. This plaque was dedicated to his daughter Audrey, in his honor.
