Change your channel to " everything is fine , listen to the government " No useful information and you're basically parroting a bunch of virtue signaling media bullcrap. If gas is always gonna be delivered and the water is staying on and everyone is gonna show up to work, what the fuck are you prepping for? Wow so all the places in Europe that use bidets and the places in Asia that DON'T USE ANYTHING aren't running outtta toilet paper 😂😂😂. Asshat

All this Coronavirus is hogwash! I haven't worn a mask since it has started if I can help it... Unless made to like going to doctor visits but I imagine I will stop that pretty soon as well... Usually my doctor calls me in just for a yearly check up. But I haven't worn any gloves either and touch my face, eyes, mouth, nose and everything... No problems... It's all just one BIG LIE!!!

For absolute certainty, the only thing you can be sure of when someone on youtube or anywhere else says, "I can absolutely guarantee you that...", you want to absolutely NOT believe it. I live in a suburb of a major US city--by any account, a "best place to live" by most any current standard. And lately, not only have we had frequent repeated power outages, but we also have had issues with reliable water, access to critical medications, and, perhaps most telling, excuses from our law enforcement about why they no longer can answer calls. Also, interestingly, lately our online orders are not showing up, despite notices that the items were delivered on a specific date and time. Friends, these days there are no guarantees about anything. Despite widespread virtue signalling that "We are all in this together", you in fact are on your own.

This is common sense, if you Don't Panic. It is a flue, that we never had before. That is why it will hit us all like a hard flue. But some, with reduce resistance against influensas, could get pneumonia, and that could kill them, if not treated in time. So, if you and your family (or who else you share houshold with) should stay home when one is sick, and you all will probably get sick and well in two-four weeks. So prepare for not going out at maximum one month, but more probably two weeks.
Could be good if you have a second house where sick could live, so the others can go on with life, and go out buy grocery for those that are sick..

Jason cullen I live in South Central Kansas, the weather here is horrendous every year during tornado season, and Ice storms are common across the plains during the winter months. Most of the people I know have generators, other forms of lighting, medical supplies and food for at least two weeks. This is the norm for this area and many others. The problem is going to be in the big cities, and the mindset of the younger generation that the government is supposed to wipe your ass for you. Maybe people should have settled for a smaller house, a less flashy automobile, maybe save back some money instead of blowing it on whatever it is people spend their money on before they secured the well-being of themselves and their family. Natural disasters occur every year, and every year people like myself end up helping out people that didn't have their s*** together. We shouldn't have to do that. People should automatically do it for themselves. I honestly find it hard to believe that people prepare for the future in every way except this.

@@lestatangel Its not that those of us who aren't peppers are relying on the government, it's that we foolishly assumed the business community had a robust supply chain.
We thought it was in there interest.
Simple logic should have informed otherwise.
Squeezing out the last nickle of shareholder value is everything, and inventory that can be converted to shareholder value has been.
It makes no economic sense for them to give their competitors an advantage by maintaining warehouses rather than receiving shipments just-in-time.
A disruptive event affects all of them equally, and if people demand the flow of goods to be resumed promptly, they can pay extra for that value added service.
I have adjusted my expectations accordingly.
I think it's fair though that they have reserves to weather any financial storms and not expect a blanket bailout.
As a good stewardof our money, the government should apply bailouts selectively and not assist those not critical to recovery in terms of either products or employment they provide.
Starbucks, the local movie theater, those are option products and minimal employment and should not be considered for assistance.
Ditto for restaurants in states where hey are exempt from minimum wage.
The money that would go to them should rather be used for training programs to move them into in demand fields.
They should not expect the government to contribute to the general welfare.
      There's no shareholder value there.

'Smucker's Naturals'? I'm also tired of watching some spoiled little rich kid or overgrown kid in this case tell us how they bought an entire store so they're ready. A Wise food bucket too? I get it now. He's just another salesman. I can whip up a much better dinner out of canned goods. We all can.

@@justmichelle71 The wise food buckets and similar have great marketing. I'd be lying if I said they didnt have a place in the pantry though (i like them for hiking and camping.) But you're right, packing basic staples and shelf-stable goods is generally a better way to go. Rotate your canned goods every couple years, properly store your dried goods, you'll be fine. And you wont get a heart attack from the sodium. That freeze dried food is insane on sodium.

Hoarding fuel and guns for a nuclear war then shouting "told you so" when a slightly more agressive version of a flu sweeps across the globe is not fooling anyone. You still prepared for something completely different.
To draw a paralel, just because Snowden leaked that the US government had a hidden agenda doesn't make alien conspiracy theories true.
You prepared for something utterly ridiculous which just conveniently happens to make you well-prepared for something a lot less serious, the jury is still out on your sanity.

@Marco Dalmatini I'm the guy who is totally unprepared for an alien invasion, but is fully prepared for something sane... like a bad pandemic. I have two freezers full of meat in my garage and buy everything even without a pandemic in huge family packs that last one to two months, and never worked at a place of business my entire life, always home office, so for me the only thing that changed is... the content I see on the internet? Not much else, if anything at all... so as someone who isn't considering himself a prepper but is well-prepared anyway, I feel justified to judge what a sane level of preparation is and what isn't.

Well, right off the bat, I disagree about the toilet paper because it has been out of stock at every store and online for weeks now. It is a world-wide shortage, so I feel that I was right to buy a lot the week before the panic shopping. All paper products and Clorox and Lysol wipes have been sold out since the panic week. I still have some, but I have been using mine for a month now and they still aren't in stock. I did get water purifiers because I won't drink my tap water. I agree with most of it, but I do know that we are prepping for a pandemic, but we are also prepping in case of a global economic collapse a few months from now. What surprised me was that the stores ran out of every type of product: rice, beans, lentils, grains, frozen vegetables, potatoes, bread, oatmeal, pasta, pasta sauce, hamburger, eggs, chicken, junk food, bottled water, hummus, etc. They ran out of everything everywhere. It will change how I prep because I had enough for a few months and I still have some, but I started social isolating back in January and went to re-stock some things around the time of this video and nothing at all was anywhere. When Amazon and Walmart and Target online are out I know that next time, I will have way more. Toilet paper will be number one because of how many people around me ran out and I learned that I will want to help people and that will cut into my supply.

Actually it is all in the timing, the preppers today hit the gold mine for being preppers, but throughout time others have not been so lucky, they prepped for things such as y2k and had food and water stocked up in huge amounts only to have to some stuff ruined. It is always a comforting idea to stock up and be prepared even though there is a great chance that it will not be needed.
The most important thing for everyone is their relationship with God, because God can prepare us in ways that prepping never can.
      Luke 12
19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
21 So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
Stocking up is fine just remember that God can and will provide for those that have not stocked up but have trusted in Him. A prepper can still get a virus and die no matter how much they have prepared. God knows if we have trusted more in Him or our prepping knowledge.

I used the gas i bought the day before to run my generator 2 hrs a day to charge mine and our neighbors phones. I used my gun and fishing equipment to provide fresh meat and fish. I ran my generator also to keep the frig cool. The storms took part of my roof and broke several neighbors windows i was a contractor so i had a whole role of polyethylene and we used nearly all of it evidently you havent prepped much for country folk. Now I'm not much at raising a garden so me and the neighbors did a lot of swapping for the skills i did have. 42 days dont sound that long but i sure was proud to see them Alabama power trucks coming up the mountain to where we lived.

They take up lots if room in their warehouses and once a commercial is done the companies don't reuse them. As long as they are used ad side down they will donate them to tornado victims to cover their roofs and missing walls. The skins have pockets sewn in so people were building roofs and walls to close in their houses and protect their generators. The skins are much much thicker than tarps and much larger. Plus they are designed to withstand high wind and lots of weather without breaking down.

I live semi rural, both my wife and I are in the hospitality industry, things are already slow, we have 2 months food supply but will absolutely NEED to travel to get work. Both of our hours have been cut already, so hard to travel to find work when we do not have money for gas. So I have been putting it away while I still have an income.
My average usage is about 5 gallons per week, we have one car. So I now have 8 x 5 gallon cans put aside, at least that will give us an 8 week buffer, and If we do not need it yet, I have stored it for 2 years before with no issue, so it will get used.

I’m convinced this has been around since last year and nobody ever spent the time to “discover” it wasn’t the flu. My boss came back from Italy last April and was super sick... had to be admitted to Henry Mayo hospital in Valencia, CA. They had to cut tubes into his lungs to drain fluid out so he wouldn’t suffocate. They tested him for flu, pneumonia and a ton of other diseases... he came back negative on all of them... they couldn’t figure out what was wrong. He literally almost died in the hospital (he just turned 60 last year and went to Italy for his bday and caught this). I caught it and my assistant caught it... my kids caught it and my ex wife caught it... my kids didn’t get it that bad but my ex and I were destroyed by it for about a month... I test positive for asthma now (never had asthma before) and asthma medication doesn’t help me... so they think I have lung damage from it.... what we all had last April and May is exactly like what has been described... and china is claiming patient 1 came to Wuhan from the US and infected all of China.... so it may not have originated in China... they may have just been the ones to finally isolate and identify it and also realize that it isn’t just some really bad flu.

    • @SunflowerSpotlight
      @SunflowerSpotlight 4 роки тому

There was some misinformation floating around talking about toilet paper plants in China being shut down, which would lead to a shortage in a few weeks or months. I think that played quite a bit of a role as well. Then other people saw how little toilet paper was available and thought, “If i don’t get it now, it may be gone!” Then people freaked that there was not TP. Then when it was restocked, they bought a ton so they’d not miss their chance again.
It’s like a herd running... not all of them saw what spooked them or if it’s a huge threat or not, but they’re not about to stick around and find out, so they run too. People are just running away with themselves to a degree.
The fact that a lot of the toilet paper issues happened while the president was still kinda downplaying the severity of the virus is interesting to me. It shows that it wasn’t fear of a big government reaction that would keep everyone at home as much as, “These people are buying toilet paper, lots of it. I better get it while I can!”
