This episode was the catalyst for the explosion of reaction/creation channels and I’m so thankful for that. I remember just being in shock when this episode first aired. It was such a shocking episode the next day this episode was discussed on morning and daytime talk shows in America. Absolutely enjoyed y’alls reactions. Buckle up, it’s going to get crazier.
It's here!! I have my tissues at the ready. 😪 A reaction I have been wanting to see, but also not see at the same time. 💔 I remember the 1st time I saw this episode, and I was absolutely gobsmacked. I've seen it many times since, and it never gets any easier to watch. Absolute gut punch of an episode. So much happened so quickly! It's a hard episode to watch and stays with you long after. That is a sign of great storytelling, and it's a phenomenal piece of television.
Small correction Shane, Freys are bannermen of House Tully in the Riverlands also in the books if I’m not mistaken both house Bolton AND house Karstark had a hand in the red wedding affairs
The anxiety is already high when you saw the door was closing in the wedding scene, good job for Tom and Malachi for recognizing the song! That makes your anxiety shot up through the roof lolol Shane has been trying to keep a straight face but once it's clear what's happening, he understandably looks like he's going to cry all the time😂
Great reaction guys! Just a quick correction. The Freys are a bannermen of House Tully (Catelyn's family whom Edmure Tully is the head of). The Boltons are a bannermen of the Starks. The Starks and Boltons have had a centuries long rivalry.
The ending cuts to black so you can see the horror upon your faces. Now, you're one us. You know, the actor who plays Walder Frey is good at what he does because I didn't realize until halfway into the first season of The Strain that Abraham Setrakian was him.
good reaction , post talk. keep watching Malachi, felt same way when first watched this. First few seasons seemed to have so many crappy moments but does get better.
Looking at it with perspective - Robb made this happen. He spat in the face of the entire house Fray when he betrayed his word and everyone knew it. For the Frays to have any authority, they had to do something like this, or their house would lose power and fade into nothing. Robb put them in a corner, and the Lannisters got them out of it.
Freys betrayed the ancient guest right not to mention their liege lords. One of the most sacred traditions in Westeros. Nobody is going to trust or respect the Freys. And they don't have any real authority. Walder Frey would never have done something like this without Lannister backing. Walder Frey is no Tywin Lannister. If anything this would lead to downfall of House Frey. Just another reason for everyone to hate them. Though I agree that Robb's decisions helped make the betrayal happen.
i have spoke about this on other reactions videos to the red wedding but just to inform you , he took this event from real life from a entire family murdered like this at a funeral in the 1600s
Actually it's based on the Saint Bartholomew's Day massacre in France in 1572. The Catholic royal family invited Protestant nobles to Paris for a Royal Wedding. Once they arrived they slaughtered them all and went on to kill every Protestant they could find Upper estimate of 20k+. This hunt to kill slaughter lasted for months They killed men women and children and destroyed their businesses as well
Genuinely think that's the Angriest and most upset I've seen Tom and Malachi. One of the most infuriating scenes in the series (with many more to come lol)
@@luca_aep1 yeah Rob was my favorite character at this point in the shell and it was just a shocking now as it was when I watched it all those years ago
I guess I'm the only person who didn't care about Robs or Cats death🤷🏿♀️ I was significantly traumatized from seeing a pregnant woman stabbed in her belly, that should have never aired it was too far
I speak for everyone when I say that I was waiting for this episode since you started this show.
You are not wrong. Pretty sure that literally everyone (including me) was waiting for this episode 😅
This episode is the reason why your channel and every other reaction channel exists.
Even the bug on the lens at 15:05 knew what was up… got straight the hell outta there 😂
I thought he put that in there when editing lol
@@mizzy5193 lmao yeah that is something we didn’t notice until later. Sorry about that.

Still makes me cry every time I watch it all of these years later, and I don't cry easily or often..

Well done to Shane, man, for keeping that poker face knowing what's going to happen, I can see around the 15 mark it was getting harder! 😢

I never liked Kat, she was not nice to Jon. Even it wasn't her child she could still treat him nicely because it wasn't Jons fault that he was born,
Why do you spoiled him like that with the bran comment
Jon Snow didn't kill a white walker. He just killed a wight.
Talk to your son, ffs. He has feelings, you have not.
There are better characters. They have no place in what’s to come.
