Here I was creating tracks for rfactor back in the day using google earth and bobs track builder. Amazing what technology is bringing us, cannot wait, this is going to be an amazing time!
Its not a game, as in a standalone 60 dollar game. Its a subscription based service with everything supplemented via DLC methods. You only get a fraction of the puzzle when you start. $13 for the monthly membership, which is about 156 dollars a year, PLUS 15 dollars for EACH track and car that you want to buy. Its 45 for the 3 dirt tracks that you have to buy separately, 4 dirt cars which thats another 60 bucks, THEN you gotta get a wheel and pedal set, usually another 200 dollars.
For someone who has been around dirt racing all my life, I'm really looking forward to kicking it sideways, I hope they add more classes to dirt like Street Stocks, Modifieds, Sportsman, Sprint car's and being able to pick what you put in your car like different motors and rear ends and so forth, really hyped.
Ok iRacing, now that you've gotten it right, it's time to add Utica Rome Speedway, and the Big Block Modifieds AND UMP/IMCA Mods. They ARE different and we want BOTH!...
My friend I used to know through Xbox goes to this track a lot and is one of his favorites, and I'm sure he would get iRacing to do SprintCar leagues. Also hope you guys get Eldora and maybe any truck series out there can go there in the middle of their season.
Alright now we need midgets and micro sprints. Kokomo Indiana, Tulsa State Fairground (Chili Bowl), Knoxville, Belleville, Kansas (RIP BC), and an Australian track.
you guys should go get LimaLand , that track while not a half mile is stupid fast for its size. In the words of one driver "When you wreck there, your done for a while"
webduelist racers village?? I already sent in my papers for the regular dorms they showed me during the tours haha.. how is the school though? I really wanna try and get on the Motorsport team but I don't know how possible that will be since I'll be a freshman haha
As a real world racer for more than ten years, I don't know if its sad or funny that the gobs of info iracing "studies" or investigates is seriously ten times more than what most racers and even track employees do of the very tracks we race. I remember when they were at Mid Ohio, where I am a PTR instructor, and that were explaining to Todd the ins and outs of what they were doing and we were kind of laughing simply because its a race track. about 65 foot wide and you go fast. Turn go fast. Turn go fast. Again, I totally get iracing having to study them to create them. But the TOP priority of EVERY racetrack employee and everything surrounding a track is SAFETY. Having been on the service for more than a year, I just find it funny how the people playing the game get so serious and study the tracks. I get iRacing doing that, they have to create it. But as players, we just have to drive. that's all. no more, no less. The vastly overlooked component all the guys playing the game take for granted is COST. DANGER. I die laughing when someone says "how scared they were on a corner." I can't IMAGINE how tense they would be in real life....cheers.
We need Wichita's 81 Speedway. 81 Speedway is a 3/8's mile semi-banked dirt oval and home to NCRA (National Championship Racing Association) that sanctions 360ci sprints, modified, late models and mod lites. On Saturday night May 6, 2017 the World of Outlaws Sprints will make a return to the speedway for the first time in 10 years.
hopefully they do all the dirt classes like u car, mini stock, street stock, hobby stock, strictly stock, vintage cars, crate latemodel, limited latemodel, super latemodel, pro latemodel, dirt truck, Sprint cars,
No it was a UNOH owned track that they do weekly races on that they used for that. Don't remember the track or where it was, and don't feel like looking for it right now.
Tessellation? Going through where other cars have been make a difference with the handling of the vehicles? Will the pathing be client sided or server sided? The problem is if someone lags the skid place could be different. If someone lags they could get weird pathing problems. I think the dirt track idea is a bad idea as it would put massive loads on the servers. What if there are people doing donuts and burnouts on the track? Is there a certain amount of calculation limit then no deeper pit would be made?
from some of the beta testers I've talked to they don't plan on doing anything that don't have an infield pit area because the have to line the cars up in the infield much like everything else on there. I know they are doing Martinsville and USA
That's to prepare the surface to race on: they do that with every race. To start every race with the 'same' grip levels... kinda like how they level out the gravel courses in Tennis.
Scan Georgia karting komplex go kart track and make an advertisement and that should draw go karters in like Jerry Mullis and people that race dirt and you can scan my kart if you want but you don't have to you can just build one and scan one
Drake020511 The joke is that they revealed that dirt racing was coming on April Fools day of all days. Nobody thought they were being serious. We know they are now.
Your iracing company could develop racing bikes: Motocross - SuperCross - Motovelocidade = The clues you already have just develop the bikes ... this would make your Iracing Company the best in the world [BUT NEVER LEAVE TO HEAR THE PILOTOS COMMUNITY VIRTUAL] ....... THINK ABOUT IT ............... THANK YOU.
lol i stopped subscribing to their service... bugs and connection issues... take a look in the forums. their service isnt cheap enough for these types of issues

Eldora was the first track scanned and now Williams Grove.
They are both in development now.
They've already laser scanned eldora, so they're working on it now.

you guys should go get LimaLand , that track while not a half mile is stupid fast for its size. In the words of one driver "When you wreck there, your done for a while"

Lets get this party started!

They do all that so they can get the track to act and feel as real as possible... That's why this is a Sim and not an arcade game on the consoles.
You’re confusing a video game for a simulation. 🙄 iRacing is the latter, hence the amount of research conducted to better their product.
also All Tech Speedway that is my local dirt track racing in Lake City FL

No it was a UNOH owned track that they do weekly races on that they used for that. Don't remember the track or where it was, and don't feel like looking for it right now.
racer55tj It's Limaland in Lima Ohio owned by Univeristy of NorthWestern Ohio
Thank you.
Would they make the stock car like they race in New Zealand
The only reason I'll finally pay to play iRacing.

i hope they do more than just a few cars
once this all gets going you should see if you can scan a track in ohio called hilltop speedway located in millersburg ohio

from some of the beta testers I've talked to they don't plan on doing anything that don't have an infield pit area because the have to line the cars up in the infield much like everything else on there. I know they are doing Martinsville and USA

Trucks on dirt!?
That's to prepare the surface to race on: they do that with every race. To start every race with the 'same' grip levels... kinda like how they level out the gravel courses in Tennis.
We need some British shale and tarmac tracks, and bring in a new formula. BriSCA F1
Talladega Short Track! Please!

I gave up waiting for this. Haven't renewed in over 2 years.
Rubber layed down on the dirt, well I didn't know that happened, nice.
Jack954125 it usually only happens with sprint cars 😂
You should go to atomic and scan it

Scan Georgia karting komplex go kart track and make an advertisement and that should draw go karters in like Jerry Mullis and people that race dirt and you can scan my kart if you want but you don't have to you can just build one and scan one
Haggerstown speedway in Virginia and add super late models
J____ F_ Hagerstown is in Maryland my friend
i wonder if they are doing super late models with like bloomer and o neal and the rest of the names i know lol
There are no AI cars in this game at all. So unless Scott Bloomquist gets Iracing the only Bloomer car youll see is a trading paints paint sceme.
I just hope we will have proper rallying, none of that running in circles crap.

OK iRacing, it was a good joke. You guys can stop now, it's been almost 3 months.
Drake020511 The joke is that they revealed that dirt racing was coming on April Fools day of all days. Nobody thought they were being serious. We know they are now.

lol i stopped subscribing to their service... bugs and connection issues... take a look in the forums. their service isnt cheap enough for these types of issues
Meh, there are so many more required features than this.
