This is a re-broadcast hosted by Peter Lorrie on Mystery Playhouse which aired on the AFRS network from July 1944-June 1946.

There's nothing new under the sun. Movies that became hits had radio plays with often the same actors on screen voicing their characters on radio. Humphrey Bogart and James Cagney did it all the time.

Lorre did his part for AFRS audiences by hosting "MYSTERY PLAYHOUSE". Occasionally, Howard Duff would act as the program's announcer {as "Sergeant X"}.
