Thank you for the positive spirit! I'm glad to hear you found a way to deal with new pain in the shoulder. I'm a little over 9 months out of my L5S1 fusion and I still have limitations and pain - not all the time and not always the same, but enough to bother me. I cannot work a full day without resting 30-60 minutes (on my back) halfway through. Pain is almost 100% nerve related: stabbing at irregular intervals in buttocks and back of thigh/knee/calves, burning/tingling/loss of sensation in foot. It's not predictable and pain shifts from one place to the next, then disappears for a few minutes, then comes back. You had mentioned in an earlier video that it took you 2 years to get rid of this nerve pain. Any medication that helped you? I'm using celecoxib or (rarely) prednisone, but I did not tolerate the nerve pain medications such as neurontin very well. Thanks!
Hi Chris~Thank you for your beautiful and positive spirit! I am a week away from having Spondy grade 3, L4-5, S1 laminectomy with fusion. Needless to say I am trying to balance my emotions between being nervous and excited for a "new" me. Your videos have helped me prepare mentally and to have all things in order for preparation of surgery. My biggest concern after surgery is that I will not have good range of motion and I will be in more pain~ugh! It seems I am not alone with these thoughts! Thank you again for your help and insights! You are much appreciated!
You got this!! How much ROM (range of motion) do you have now? You might find once the back is stabilized and after some recovery time you may feel more flexible and stable! Good luck in your recovery ❤️🩹
I’m just under 3 weeks away from having 1 level of lumbar fusion and 3 levels of laminectomy combined in one operation. Have viewed a few of your videos and found them helpful. Can really relate to this one! I think every frustration you describe is going to apply to me!
You can do it! The human body is remarkable and I am sure that you are as well! Have patience. Take your time healing. ❤️🩹 What’s your biggest concern?
