Wow! This is so cool! I love it. I've been so bored with most music for orchestra lately, but this is definitely not boring. It reminds me of Andrew Norman's piece Sustain, also from 2018 and also a great piece. I really appreciate that Chris is writing very exciting music for orchestra. It's badly needed. (And it's great that he put the score up.)
i so want to say i love this one but to be honest the effects sound like something i could've built myself by not building any. and let's be real, i could boil the meter down to 4/4 if i really wanted to. it's lacking cool textures, movement, climax, and umm
From one composer to another, Christopher: this is one of the coolest new orchestral pieces I've heard in the last 5-6 years. Kudos!
Thank you!
Finally, modern music that is actually good.
fantastic piece:; it will be in included in the greatest classical contemporary music collection
Thank you for sharing, Chris. Such an exciting piece, performance and [now] score
