My opinion:
Gacha Life 2 will be an earlier game with many features, also much more people know about it. It will have new features and great assets and be an upgraded version of all games. Chibimation will have many features including never seen or done before. Less people know abt it, but I think it will have more assets since Luni has to work on many different projects. But since the made the decision to have one of their greatest features cost money (Which is a good idea) I think Gacha Life 2 will be more popular. Lunime is a much more known creator than the creator of Chibimation. This isn’t her fault, it’s just Luni has such a huge community! I believe people will either only use Chibimation or a mixture of two. This is just my guess

i wanna preface this by saying no hate on luni, i just watch too many detective shows and am suspicious of literally everything.
i’m probably not the only one who thinks it is suspicious that chibimation has been developing for over a year, and all of a sudden luni popped up and announced a new game releasing two months before chibimation closed beta. a smart move on his part to put the spotlight on him whilst taking it away from a competitor. also the game’s releasing two months from now, and we haven’t seen any screenshots of the actual game. the ones people are using are an old gl2 mock up from 4 years ago, or the cancelled game Gacha Party. if the october release date ends up happening, i’m going to predict that certain features won’t be available on release, but will come later. most likely the custom

I hope that once the games are released, chibimation creators can merge with Gacha creators. Both will most likely have the same content coming out of them but just with different art styles.

I can't wait for both of these to come out, they are both technically the same thing where you get to design and make your own characters just with more design and features. There's really no competition for me between these two games because in the end they both still do the same thing right?

I’d go for both ChibiMation and Gacha Life 2, because ChibiMation have a lot of assets, and Gacha Life 2 is like Luni updated Gacha Life for Android, IOS, and PC devices😁

ima be honest, I have a feeling Luni only came forward because he realized a competitor was stepping into the field, one that isn't a gacha mod and may actually be a problem for him, and that's why he's doing this. he's not making a new game yet, just a quick cash grab to keep players on his game since it's more of an update to gacha life than a new game. just my opinion, but Gacha Life 2 feels more like he's just trying to keep the audience on him...
yes, but apparently he also likes the idea of chibimation. he even donated to beowulf (one of cm's creators) for her allergy. but take this with a grain of salt because he could have hidden opinions too.
Yeah...I kinda find it sorta sus that Luni suddenly appeared after years of silence, with a new game, completely out of the woodwork once Chibimation had started to get out there and was getting closer to release.
Doesn't help his case the this sudden unexpected game happens to come out 2 months before his new competitors game.
Edit: I know some gamedevs can be pretty quiet on a games development, I mean just look at Dark Revival. But unlike those, we at least KNEW of their existence before release, this legit popped out of nowhere.

@Miles-yu3bs you've got a point, we have better reasons to hate on luni rather than releasing a new game around the same time that cm is being released xD he mightve realized his fanbase needed more updates, i think its going to be a slightly upgraded gacha club but i'll stick to chibimation.
generally we shouldnt compare the two games, both are going to have new (and great) features, but like robin said we'll have to wait for the games both to come out to make any accurate comparison.
though i wonder what motive luni had for this, after all. we shouldnt just assume he came back purely to steal the show- even if he did a little.

Team ChibiMation, way more assets, infinite accessories, more new features never seen in gacha. Also the fact that it will be updated regularly and probably host content for fans (to get they own assets into the game officially) is awesome, Luni isn't really know to update any of his games regularly. I don't really love the default style (too chibi ironically lol) but it's the same with gacha, just use the adjustment and you can make really different styles, making it even more chiby or more anime like (which i prefer)
Luni said the lack of updates were because of a bad coding for the chibi's and that he has fixed that, so we'll probably see constant updates for Gacha Life 2 for a while

In first glance I’m glad as hell that gacha life 2 is for iPhone aswell, I just still have no idea about chibimation yet if they are in iPhone , but besides that I think id choose both ! They are both amazing and since luni hasn’t done anything in the past what 4 or 6 years from what I know , and now he does this??? Truly surprising tbh , chibimation reminds me of mods that are normal to find but I am excited to see it too !
I’ll just play both of the game for fun and supporting the creators when both of them comes out because every game is unique in different ways that’s what makes both special in their own ways

I’ll use Gacha Life 2/Gacha Club before Chibimation is out, but when it’s out I’ll probably only use Chibimation, with the extra assets and all. Especially since it’ll be a LOT easier to make Genshin charas with more assets.

Gacha life 2 is likely going to be the same model as Gacha life 1 just with extended clothes, colours, props and backgrounds etc!
While Chibimation has a whole new sprite, colour wheels and is likely going to update a lot more than Gacha life 2 due to their team constantly taking in ideas and requests from fans!
As well as I’m not certain GL2 is going to be on IOS while I’m pretty sure Chibi is going to allow both android and iOS! (I could be wrong so pls correct me if I am)
I’m not hating or disliking on Lunime nor GL2 as we’ve all been using Luni’s apps for aslong as we have! Beowulf & her team have just taken things into their own hands while Luni wasn’t present!
Again, not hating on either game, excited for both, but imo Chibimation is going to sky rocket compared to GL2❤

I thought that everyone was just getting really confused and calling Chibimation gacha life 2 and then I realize they were separate games and I’m like “either Luni realized that everyone’s getting bored with gacha club or he is trying to compete with Chibimation. Still excited for both!
For me, I’ll download Gacha Life 2 and when Chibimation comes out I’ll test it or see what people say about it, im still gonna follow Chibimation development though since I’ve been a fan of Beo (a creator of Chibimation) since her first VTuber model debuted
Honestly I just can't wait for both. Tbh, this is like gacha life vs gacha club. While both games have features we haven't seen before in the gacha community, many people have different opinions on which is better. I prefer gacha club, as it gives you a lot more customization features, but gacha life is a lot easier to use and way less confusing than gacha club. Plus gacha life has the "life" feature that is finished ( I think) and has way more mini games. Gacha club has a story feature which has a good story but I'm not sure if it's finished yet. And gacha club has good mini games too. Both have other features that the other game doesn't have too. It really just depends on the person. Both games are great.
Chibimation is a very good app, it includes a color wheel, but very complicated and detailed but I still prefer it.❤

honestly im gonna try both of them, i like the idea of chibimation giving us an opportunity to app our own cosmetics, tho the question is are they gonna be able to be colored differently or stay the color were giving?
and i like the idea that luni is adding more ways to adjusting objects and a color slider, tho my question is, are the colors gonna save or are we gonna look for them every time?
In my opinion, I'm gonna stick with gacha bc of art style preference, not that the chibimation art style is bad, it's amazing and really cute too, i just prefer the look of gacha lol

Team Gacha Life 2.
Although I'm in favor of something that Chibimation will have which is the costum items, i don't see myself using it and it's a thing you need to pay for, Gacha life will have all the items and hairs from gacha club and will add more items, now you can add costum backgrounds so you won't need to use a green screen unless if you want a stroke around the character.
there were a lot of more things mentioned plus a color wheel
and we can now edit the characters and position of items and accessories like in gacha club and more!
of course i will use chibimation and see how it is.
I'm sure it will have great stuff just like gacha life 2, it's all upto the user!

beo mentioned that it won't be expensive and that it will be just a one time payment, i just wanted to mention that it is paid service since a lot of gacha app users are kids that don't have a credit card

In my honest opinion i don't care which is better. I have been waiting for chibimation since the first announcement of it before the name changes, so i am more excited for ir and all the nrw stuff that will be added. Which the way Luni disappeared and just randomly came back has kinda put me off. I will probably use gacha life two until chibimation comes but, but after that i will definitely be sticking with chibimation

I made a type 4. Man, I’m sticking gacha club. Might use gacha 2 sometimes. But with the way it is looking. Too big of a difference for me.

In my opinion, Gacha club 2 feels rushed. Luni never announced anything until Chibimation was announced and got attention. People have been asking for a new game or an update for years and he is just making a new game now? It is being released this year, it was announced this year too. Chibi bastion on the other hand seems like a good quality game due to the fact that it has taken years to make. The quality seems excellent. I am with chibimation all the way.
we dont know if he had taken years to make or not developing the game, sure its convenient that its been announced now, but whats the problem with that? They are both competitors, so its obvious that he would try to market his game as well. It wouldnt say it looked rushed, but thats your opinion so yk i dont hv anything to say to that. I do however, like chibimation, the art and varity is great, but theres no need to dogpile on luni's game, where everyone first got into gacha.

I do know I’ll be moving to chibimation when it’s out (maybe both if gacha life 2 gets left glitchy and annoying) it was rushed most definitely but it’s still amazing

I don't exactly trust Luni after everything, but that one pay option in Chibimation is a bit much (for my parents)
So unless Luni gets better and looks to have the import system without pay then I'm probably using both

How much does the one-time pay cost? I'd heard there'd be one but not a specific amount

In my opinion, When Robin made a video tallking abt Chibimation, maybe Luni watched the video to and decided to add the features from Chibimation to gacha life 2, think abt it guys, in Chibimation u can import background, same as gacha life 2, and in Chibimation there are 126 character slots but Luni meanwhile decided to add more (a.k.a 200+ slots). I say Chibimation, It has better graphics, diverse designs, more accessories, hairs, etc. idk why ppl are debating but I love Gacha! But since they won’t be out until September and Chibimation is possibly set for October, November or maybe 2024, we’ll have to wait.

ChibiMation isn't as popular of a community as Gacha Life/Gacha Club... so it makes me afraid chibimation might become a broken project due to gl2 taking the spotlight. it happens a lot, good projects but small audience so it doesnt work out. im really looking forward to chibimation.

Luni is honestly just late to the party. We've been waiting for news from Luni but nothing. While Chibination has been updating us on everything, and if there is no news yet they let us know news won't be out yet so we won't be constantly wondering if they are active anymore. And he made gacha plus not be in the playstore, I honestly think it's because the mods are doing better than the games from him. I'll try it out, but I'm pretty sure ima stick with chibimation.

i actually got super confused abt gl2 but honestly i think like luni started working on it bc of chibimation.. i mean chibimation was a bit project a lot bigger than gacha club, it has a lot more optios and assets than chacha club, so yk it would basically steal the whole gacha spotlight. im not assuming anything tho, but i gotta stay with chibimation since i was waiting for it to come out for like a year now and im a huge fan of beowolf (gacha life raised me tho so im deffinetly playing gl2 too)
