Love this song! Thank you, Rodney Atkins! May sound strange but this song saved my life. Five years ago, I was in a crisis unit for a suicide attempt. Was very lucky. During music therapy, this song played. Listening to it in the hard days helped me hang on and make it thru. Nowadays when things get rough this is my go-to song and it always helps. I lost my favorite person 3 years ago, cut the friendship 3 years ago. This song saved my life. My favorite part of the song is "but the good news there is angels are everywhere out on the street... holdin' out a hand to pull you back up on your feet." I am chronically ill and been in and out of ERs this past year, and there is this one nurse who I swear is an angel. She has known me for a while, and I feel like God placed her in my life after dealing with that horrible friendship breakup. She always has something nice to say, and the room lights up, and my darkness isn't dark anymore. There are angels among us.

I’m in a depression recovery program and we used music ISO therapy. It’s where you make a playlist of songs that starts with the mood you are in at the current time and ends with a song that changes your mood and gives you hope. This was my last song on my playlist. It does give me hope and it helped other people in my group!

During music therapy, this song played. Listening to it in the hard days helped me hang on and make it thru. Nowadays when things get rough this is my go-to song and it always helps. I am chronically ill and been in and out of ERs this past year, and there is this one nurse who I swear is an angel. The pain was so painful it felt like fire and I fought through the pain and the hard times at Hershey Hospital this was a very long time ago.

Always used to listen to this song when i was little because it just sounded good. And then last year I was going through some really rough bs at school where my principal and vice principal sent the police to my house, i was kicked off campus for 6 months, my social life was non existent, and i almost killed myself many times. If it wasn't for my best friends who stood by me i may not have been here today. I thought about this song a few days ago randomly and realized how much i relate to it. Thank you rodney Atkins!
