    Makes one realize why Brock played so well his first two years

    Brock has said that it is a very complicated playbook. Players say 30 words come out of his mouth in the huddle and they need to be in the right order. Brock said he is still learning it. He works his tale off.

    This is why when people crap on Kyle for not playing a guy NOBODY ever thinks maybe he's struggling with this type of stuff

      Jesus this is a dumb ass take. Just cuz he threw 3 picks in his career doesnt mean he didn't understand the playbook or system. We didn't even get a chance to know what Lance is, no one did.

      @@NoSnowFlakes1 Unfortunately that's the business. You only get a limited, finite amount of audition chances. Either you get hurt, or someone behind you outplays you, or whatever, and then just like that you're out of chances, and out of the league, and all people remember is the limited audition you get out there ... that you didn't do well on.

      @@DudeTastic13 I understand the buisness side of it, and why the 9ers stayed with Purdy. My point was the original comment was a dumb take. He made it sound like Lance acted like he knew the system and playbook when he really didnt and the evidence was him allegedly throwing multiple int's to the opposing DL which didnt even happen.

      @@NoSnowFlakes1 Yea, but to be fair Shanahan's system is no walk in the park or piece of cake. I wonder how much Lance was absorbing. It's also fair to say Lance was a deer caught in headlights in many instances as a SF starter. Maybe he understood it intellectually but just couldn't put 2 and 2 together on the field. I feel bad for the kid as I think we definitely shouldn't have drafted him as high as we did with that much capital. They lucked out with Mr. 262.

    Cool to see an actual playbook. No wonder Orlovsky ran out of bounds in the end zone that one time (I know he was a Lion back then) but still, jk, haha. Chunking. If you're a potential player seeing this, it's overwhelming but with anything, take it one step at a time and you'll get there. "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." Break it down into small enough relatable, understandable pieces and you'll learn it. You got this! Go Niners!

      You forgot Garoppolo ran out of bound in his 5th season with the Niners on week three vs the Broncos in 2022 which he singledhandedly loss the game.

    I don't believe CMC started against the Chiefs. He only had like 8 carries. Still impressive to play at all though.
    Side note: Brock is the one that spent his personal time after practice to help CMC learn the playbook.

    This explains why Kyle doesn't trust rookies!

  • @onceuponareset-ho7fg
    @onceuponareset-ho7fg Місяць тому

    No wonder why Kyle doesn't let Brock Purdy call an audible, or hasn't even taught him how to use a hard count in his offense. Kyle has stunted the growth of Brock Purdy, because he can't yet trust him with the other two-thirds of genius playbook. Maybe 2024 will be the year that Kyle lets Brock grow into a well-rounded, more developed QB1.
    Imagine how Purdy's stats (which are already top 5 in most metrics) might look if Kyle trusted him with more of his offense? It's time to see how good/great Purdy can be the his training wheels off. Would the 49ers really pay their QB1 franchise QB money, when he hasn't even been allowed to use a hard count, or call an audible?

    • @feen-xmusic1137
      @feen-xmusic1137 Місяць тому +1

      Stunted his growth? It's almost like you didn't watch the games or know that Purdy led in almost all major QB stats... 🤦‍♂️

    😂 Wow, now we know why rookies have a hard time starting in Kyle's system. This is his 2008 playbook. Wonder what his 2023 playbook looks like now. Kyle might change playbook for the players abilities. Deebo does jet sweeps. Aiyuk doesn't. Add Pearsall n Cowing for at least a couple plays. Some thought, Cowboys traded for Trey for his knowledge of the Niners playbook. Sort of doubt it. There's so many plays in the playbook. Also, Kyle runs many plays from the same formation. So even, if defense recognizes the formation, what play is the Niners running. Must make it difficult to audible. Guess the QB can't just have arm strength n mobility. QB needs something to handle Kyle's system. No wonder, Brock said, he got better at playbook in his 2nd yr.
