Try using a cheap brand. We tried from a candy store that makes it and it didn’t turn out good at all. So now we buy in bulk at the grocery store. Good luck.
@@tracietackett5104 We found that the cheap stuff works better. We tried some from a taffy store on the coast and it didn’t turn out so well. Not sure about needing to be really fresh.
I did a batch and they didn't puff up either. What am I doing wrong?

Well sorry I can’t please everyone.
I set the machine on candy mode and it does what it needs to do without any input from me.
Just made a bunch more, its a big hit at work been cutting them is like 15 pieces from one piece of taffy. It's a lot of work but worth it
That’s great.
We only cut ours in fourths.
How long did it take
About 23 hours
@@randkhomestead5502 does it matter how soft the taffy is or how fresh

We start in the evenings and just add more time in the morning so we can bag up when we get home from work.
We do that with everything.
