What a true gent he was myself and a few friends were on his guest lists for Club UK, Colleseum, Sabresonic , Cross club to mention but a few and one time we went to the cross and he hadnt given them his guest list so we had to pay to get in, when he arrived for his set i told him and he said - what you guys dont pay put his hand in his pocket and gave me the £60 it had cost us without hesitation. He was a great bloke and an inspiration to many and is sorely missed but never forgotten. RIP Andrew
I missed out, but one of my mates was part of love revolution ( give it to me baby). Anyway, he was with another mate and they got talking to him after a set in brum. It was mentioned that it was the second lads birthday in a month and would he fancy playing at the party. He said yes, but of course nothing more was thought of it. 3 weeks later he's on the phone asking where and when.. anyway he did it, don't think they even paid his expenses! .. who else would do that???
still can't believe it,saw him at the shark bar back in early 90's in Brighton a good few times, (kinda hoped that was the car journey to one of his gigs mentioned played 20hz by Capricorn as an end tune on my birthday oct 3rd never forget that) changed my life musically, as mentioned in video about threads, got me into so many great bands, acts .use to buy Cd's just because he had a mix on it,so glad to hear there's still more to come tune wise.he just sounded like a very decent bloke as well as a genius R.I.P lord sabre I've done some mixes on my channel for Weatherall fans by a fan, good to see Dave Beer, can't have been easy for any of you, glad you did great insight into the legend ua-cam.com/play/PLajyJsHfcHxMNxQuOX7-1Ll5dxrV-flet.html
I went up to him in Herbal and asked him what was the B-Side of Radio Babylon. He answered. I wish I had had a real conversation. It's what I wanted to do but I just didn't know what a down to earth friendly guy he was. I apologise for that Andy.
That first mix they layed of Skunk Funk was the Cabin fever dub which is tame compared to the proper Cabin Fever remix. I remember reading a review in DJ magazine at the time and the reviewer wasn't all that impressed and i think he ended it with the words 'stoned again'.

In the 90s, he made a point of keeping his fee 'in three figures', never over 1000
