As AoT finally draws to a close, it is time to say our farewells to this incredible journey. I had been working on making this animation as a tribute to the thank everyone involved in making AoT the legendary masterpiece we know today, and here it is finally. I wished to evoke the same emotions through it as the series did, I hope you like it. SHINZOU WO SASAGEYO!

An animated tribute to the masterpiece I simply cannot say goodbye to 🥺 It took me 3 months to make this using Procreate5 as the animation software, honestly it turned out way more challenging and strenuous than I initially thought it would be. Every single frame was drawn, painted and rendered by hand.
Nevertheless, I would make it all over again if I had to, for a series that will stay in my heart forever. Shinzou wo Sasageyo nakama ✊🤧

Darn, didn't realise Eren was just a 19yo boy living with the knowledge and trauma of 2000 years.
Loved that you kept Mikasa's headstone beside him.
Exactly, it is a burden he should never have had to bear. And yep, they'd be together in afterlife, so I put their headstones together. I was so happy to see they made the choice to do that in the anime as well in the credits scene, as well as the whole animated sequence of Ai Higuchi's Itterashai with them being united in afterlife.

@@suvam.beheraI would definitely recommend it! There were some things cut out from it, especially S3 pt1 arc. The ending though was adapted better by the anime, although I had loved the chapter too when it came out and it drove me to tears even back then

@@vertexedits1806yes!! See the official animated ending for Ai Higuchi's song Itterashai. It's literally Mikasa waking up in afterlife tearful, only to find Eren holding her hand. And the lyrics has something like, I couldn't find a place for my heart, and then in the end it repeats but with answer, now I found out it belongs next to yours, something along those lines. It's beautiful. Warning, be ready to cry again

Ending ripped my heart out…but it was how it had to be. Paradis still was destroyed but the anime showed a city that was clearly in the future, so Eren accomplished his goal of all of his friends living long lives and his people survived longer than in the manga
@@BrendanLong5so true! Ending ripped my heart out too, still kinda recovering. But it was the only fitting ending, so cruel and so beautiful. I absolutely loved the last scene where we see the boy with the dog... As though we've returned at the same point of the loop, and don't know if history will repeat. But despite the parallels and the post-apocalyptic atmosphere, there's a certain sense of peace and hope amidst the foreboding, and that is the true, raw essence of AOT from the start, perfectly captured even in the ending note

Beautiful piece. AoT is a story about the horrors and tragedies of war, ignorance, and hate. I found the main message of the show is to have real, genuine conversations and to try to understand one another so we can all live in peace. Evidenced throughout the anime, Marcos death, 'wait we didnt get a chance to talk about it'. Or Berthodlt to Armin, 'you just have to die its how it is'
Same with Eren and Mikasa's story, they never truly discussed their feelings. Just as with everything in AoT, even this subtle romance is a tragic what if. Friendship, empathy, love can all overcome hate.

it's because if they went to a place and disappeared they would give up their friends, armin and the island
so it was the best for him to choose the rumbling cuz eren knew everything and knew that mikasa, everyone would live a long happy life without any titans

That's not quite true. Eren obviously tried to rationalize rumbling, but the main reason was the desire to see the lands from Armin's book without people. He wanted to kill them so that the world he dreamed of would become true. As he told Armin, he didn't know if everyone would survive. Because of his decision, Hanji and Sasha died. As he himself said, it must have happened because he was an idiot with too much power. Of course, he knew that Mikasa would survive because he knew that she would make the decision that would make the titans disappear. He also knew that the island would survive, which gave his friends a chance for a long and happy life. Although he wasn't sure if everyone would survive. I love EreMika, this is maybe the best anime couple I know and I have no doubt that Eren loved Mikasa. I only have one problem with this. He loved his mother too, and yet he made a decision that resulted in her death. Now I'm watching season 1 again and when Eren has a mission to fill the hole in the gate with a boulder, he doesn't control the titan for some time. He thinks he is at home with his mother, father and Mikasa. But Armin tells him about his dream to see the world. Eren then gets up, realizing that this is his greatest desire, and the people in his vision burst into flames. It's true that Eren knew that Mikasa would survive and I want to believe that if there was a risk that something would happen to her, he wouldn't sacrifice her for his dream, but he would sacrifice his mother and father. What I mean is that the fact that the titans were gone, that the world was reduced in size and didn't have the strength to unilaterally threaten the island, that his friends would live long and happy was more of a consolation for Eren, who understood that he would be stopped and not he will be able to make his dreams come true.

But the song I am doing is Under the Tree and it shows eren and Mikasa,s life in the alternate timeline where they life out their days in the cabin and then shows them growing up falling in love and then eren dying, and finally eren waking up on the tree on the hill from the first episode.
