I wonder if it would be helpful for you if you stored the “keep for the channel but not to use” in another drawer/section. That way you can see what you want to use more easily.

I agree! Separating the vlog stuff from the personal use items makes sense to me. Why have to keep going through and separating them, just to throw them back together?

Yikes . . . This was the least satisfying declutter I've ever seen. You definitely use the channel and "referencing" as an excuse to keep things that you know you shouldn't. Like are you ever really going to use that Winnie the Pooh x ColourPop Lux lip oil trio as a background? No, you're not. You've mentioned multiple times how you don't like that Lux formula, yet you kept so many of them.
I don't get it either lmao why keep something you don't like? No one needs to see her hold it up to prove she owns it, she needs to just put up pictures and say it didn't work for her.
How do you know what she’s going to use though? And why are you watching if it’s the least satisfying declutter you’ve seen?
@@ellemar2215 it’s to compare the formula and do actual comparisons to similar products and show how they look and work on the face. Pictures can’t do that
I like that you hang onto things to help us do comparisons I am so over makeup reviewers who give me their opinions without comparisons I didn’t go there to “reality watch” makeup channels but to get informed And 2 hrs of you… count me in

I agree 1000%. More like look at my massive makeup collection and listen to me rationalize my borderline hoarding tendencies. The point of a declutter is to downside not keep one bright orange eyeliner for that one random look maybe. Ugg had to stop watching.

I was wanting that Lilah B. concealer for a spot concealer on the face. The light shade is sold out with the brand going out of business. Products are discounted. Vesca Beauty is going out of business, too. I really enjoyed several Vesca Beauty products. I actually finished an entire bronzer from the brand.

That Colourpop level up mascara, if you never tried it just a fair warning it transfers terribly. Raccoon eye central with it which is a shame cause it definitely gave my poor lashes lots of length

All I can say Morgan....is Wow Wow Wow!! You have a mountain of make-up... more than any other influencer declutter I've ever watched..and you toss out 5 of this 4 of that 😂😂😂😂 I was expecting 25 of this 36 of that!!😂😂😂😂😂😂and it was still a mountain of items!!

Sorry, kind of lost of your logic: It is old because I have not used it, going to declutter, but will buy the replacement. If you have not used the product to the point it became old and expired, why buy the replacement?
for the products she said that either some of them she didn't finish before they went bad, since she has so much makeup to use even if she likes it it might go bad before she can use it enough, and other times she simply has to keep a product because it's popular/relevant in the makeup community so she has to keep it to talk about it, and if she's gonna use it she will replace it so it doesn't break her out

I assume to make comparisons to other products that are similarly marketed. For example, a reviewer might keep an eyeshadow palette even though it is not their favorite, in order to make comparisons to a newer palette that has a similar color story. This is so that others that have this palette, can truly make a decision as to whether or not the purchase will be worth it (by seeing how similar or different the products actually are). It’s actually stopped me from buying multiple products because I could see “Oh wow, I actually have that.”

This is pretty unsatisfying to watch. I love the ones where people keep what they love and use and value and seeing you keep so many things 'for the channel' that you really don't like is frustrating. You're not just making videos with bad makeup, right? Flagging up a picture is just fine really.
love your videos, but personally i don’t think it makes any sense for you to keep products that you don’t like just for videos. if you want to mention them, just put a picture and tell us your thoughts. i’m sure someone would enjoy those products.

I prefer Jessica Braun, she always makes swatches while she is decluttering, she is very good. And plus she gives very accurate opinions about the products.
Morgan it's not good at decluttering: shallow comments about the makeup, not organized, not much information, no swatches, too fast and confused. And visually it's not nice to watch either.

Honestly, you should declutter if you won't ever use it. Keeping solely for channel purposes isn't as big of a reason. Unless it's just a small pile and 1 of each item/company. But that's what I would do. 🙂
I agree. I didn't even get the declutter vibes. There was still a lot of makeup left. Annette's Makeup Corner declutter was more realistic. I really don't have much makeup anymore. When her keeping was more than decluttering. Makeup does expire. With lip products and eyeliner I'm not sure if she's just throwing away or giving away. I wouldn't give away lip products that are used. I once took my stash of all my palettes I decluttered to the office and my coworkers took what they wanted.

That elf foundation is not $1 lol it has never been that cheap. Almost positive it has always been around $6-$8.
No one should be keeping expired make up, unless is to decorate. Take tati's advise on this, instead of hoarding health is a priority
I really love listening to the reorganization without any musics in the background, I find it super soothing. Not sure if it would work for you but I love those kinds of declutters/ organization videos, looking for to the reorganization!
What i don't get, and ofcourse you do you.. but why keep stuff for refference? You can show a picture of it OR you can film a tiny demo with it wich you insert every time you talk about that product. You can talk over the demo with your new video making it sorta new but you keep space in your cabinet and most importantly in your head. I have to much makeup right now.. it makes me feel overwhelmed when i want to do my makeup. All the stuff that i dont like i declutter emediately just cause of that. So if you get overwhelmed maybe this is an option for you. Love declutter videos though so im going to watch the rest of the video now :D
Most likely to show how the product looks on the face in real time when comparing it to something similar.
@@SamanthaD89 but for that she can film a demo. If she wants to remember what she thinks herself she can even talk in the demo and later delete de sound and talk over it for a new video
I think sometimes there is swatching next to similar products or at least behind the scenes being able to compare formulas for research during the review process.. so she would have to keep it around to compare. It just isn’t the same seeing pictures/videos of a product vs comparing them in person next to each other/live swatches. Not to mention maybe even just seeing how a formula behaves over time/passed its prime? I’m sure there are many reasons, and I’ve seen multiple creators using this concept in their declutters so maybe it is commonplace. Morgan is so thorough, whatever her process is, I trust it! Plus if she is happy having the collection she has and she has the space, then why not?
Hey Morgan I've been watching your videos throughout the year, I love that you shared your education with us on how to tell if the products are old or expired cause I think a lot of us struggle with what to look for. Question what if the makeup ex. foundation has a chemical smell to them could that mean that they are expired? I love how you stay on top of sales and give us heads up, and your love for makeup is adorbs.. I'm glad I found someone who enjoys makeup as much as I do. I wouldn't mind a video on swatches of all your ColourPop super shocks, I love ColourPop so any videos you do over them I would love to watch, drugstore affordable I'm here for it cause times are tough right now and would love seeing a video of you trying all the kokie blushes and hear your thoughts on them.. I don't mind high-end makeup sprinkled in here and there like ABH, too faced etc.. I wouldn't mind you doing a separate video when you do your lipsticks declutter I like to see swatches and whether you choose to say goodbye or keep lol. I love their kaja bentos as well and the L'Oreal glowtion. I can't wait for more drugstore videos like you mentioned! I have an idea you can do a shop my stash every week or two that way your able to get use out of you collection as well as be able to try your new stuff and test it out before deciding whether or not to put it into your main collection or not, just an idea! This was long which usually I can’t watch but your was different since you explained them as you kept or decluttered. I now have to go through mine (not as large as yours…except in the eye palette drawS.).
That is the best way to describe makeup that has gone stale, it smells just like crayons.
I keep samples for travel and Bareminerals for holidays as their powder base products so don’t need to worry about 100ml bag when flying and it really protects my skin from the sun as it’s less likely to run off my face in the heat
I can’t imagine your job (would love to!) or having that much makeup! I think it’d be awesome but stressful at the same time! I would love to try out makeup for a living. Then I’d have to talk to myself more than I already do! Kudos on the declutter though.

Finally decluttered my lip products. Like you, smell check. 3 lipsticks, 3 liquid lips. And 4 lipglosses because I don't like the formula anymore.
