Very nice Dan, I'm going on the lookout for one of those programmer's, looks expensive though. My quantum is pretty fast, I put new tires on it and new MK 50Ah Batteries ready for the winter, I had to modify the battery compartment as the batteries were too wide, but I managed to get it done and you can't really see the modifications as I painted it the same colour as the battery compartment 👍
Thanks for the tips! I’m getting a new Jazzy Pride from Numotion next week. It has tilt and elevation, so I know what to ask the DME tech to set for me. FYI, I’m in SE Portland!
Hi, we have an older Permobil 300C from 2009 and I was wondering if it's possible to fit a more modern R-net joystick with the big color screen to it ?
From my understand on R-net, and a bit of experimenting, the "Min" Speed parameter for Fwd/Rev has nothing to do with minimal deflection of the joystick. it's the speed dial potentiometer on the joystick, or softkeys used to step incrementally through the speed in each profile. I suspect Q-Logic could be the same but I haven't tested it.
its actually the lowest threshold the motors will drive at.. so with minimal input, if its set to 20% for example the chair will go no slower than 20% - the higher that number is, the jumper things get - imagine it set at 80%! lol. with R-net i usually set it to 1, and that makes the transition from stopped a lot smoother and also allows creeping at low speed. its not the amount of defection of the joystick , but rather the slowest speed that the control system will drive the motors at. (regardless of the input method - joystick, alternative controls etc) the speed paddles/dials have their own separate settings on R-net and also Q-Logic respectively. quantum chairs tho don't benefit form setting the MIN speeds below about +/-15% because of the way their acceleration curves work(and the motor soft start parameter) - setting it to too low will result in a BURST of acceleration halfway thru the 'ramp up' of the curve. R-net chairs are set typically at a default step of 20% (5 bar sections on the display) for each press of the speed paddles/buttons within each profile, but can be made MORE or LESS granular if desired. i'f you're interested in the specific settings, get in contact and i can sent ya screenshots and explanations for each :^)
@@TotallyNormal- Interesting. Thanks for the details. I'll look into it further. I myself don't need it personally. I use one of the new Invacare Aviva chairs with LiNX, and Sip and Puff drive controls. A lot of people I know play Power Hockey and drive some kind of chair that has R-Net. They come to me as the unofficial programming guy since I have the OEM PC Dongle. If I need advice I'll reach out!
I put almost 900 miles on my Quantum Edge 3 in the first year! It still works like new. New tires are on the way. How many miles do you think this chair is capable of?
Can you do that too alltrack power wheelchairs to get rid of that turtle so I don't have to go through all the modes to get to reclined mode Newmotion do that or chair company I got my power chair through
Man I wish I had a dongle for my ‘22 Permobil F3. I’ve done some mods to it to make it an offroad chair and now it’s throwing an error code that keeps it in turtle speed mode. I can’t seem to find any tech that will return my calls to help me out in any way 🤷🏻♂️.
On my quantum edge 3 with Q logic 3 system we cannot get the programmer to connect to the chair at all. The programmer works with other chairs fine with Q logic 3. We are trying to work out if it is controller has an issue or the ECU. Can you help at all?
hmm.. if the chair powers up and works, then not sure... its usually a cabling issue BUT then the chair also wont operate.. sorry im probably not gonna be much help on this one :^/

Good one

its hard to tell.. ive had some quantums that last seemingly forever! and others don't last a year.. maybe ya got one built on a wednesday! lol
Hello Dan, please make a video with Amy systems with the programmer how to do it, put the programmer mode on board.
Top number designates the program number on the controller module

Where can i buy programmer? Need on for my chair as no one will make needed changes

What is the ECU? Electronic Controller “U”??
does anything happen at all when connecting it to the chair? also does the chair power up and move ok?
@ yes chair powers up and is usable as normal, it’s when trying to reprogram it will not connect to it and you cannot change anything.
hmm.. if the chair powers up and works, then not sure... its usually a cabling issue BUT then the chair also wont operate.. sorry im probably not gonna be much help on this one :^/
@ thank you for having a think anyway. I may try a different controller and see if that works. Even Pride are stumped as to what it could be!
Sweet!
peace be upon you sir from me
Checked the Q-logic 2 on my old chair. Instead of a house icon it has something that looks like a sheet of paper with lines on it.
ok cool - thanks for the info!
