Thank you, I understand they own most of the land around the railway and unless I was given permission to take off from their land, I did it on public property. BUT because most of their land is publically accessible it is open to me to be on it and to take off from it. (Criminal Justice Act 1972 UK Public General Acts1972 c. 71 Part III Section 33) Although some staff told me flying drones over the railway is not allowed (This policy is not law) They do have a company policy that I have witnessed. It says I have the right to fly over the railway, this policy (Again not law) does ask that drown flyers tell them before we fly. Fair enough in my view. Thank you Ritchie for your comments.
I didn't pick on anyone and in fact, quite the opposite as I advised the station manager to report me to his superiors to save him any blame. A rather stupid comment by you.
@@nomore6939 I think there is a time and a place to do that but not at this sort of venue ie mostly run by volunteers. I know these venues are rife for jobsworths but to date everyone has behaved impeccably.
I live near the bluebell railway, bluebell railway owns the land they do not own the sky above it

Picking on volunteers is a cheap shot IMHO
