This is the perfect game for a sweet late-night solo gaming session until 4 A.M. The quiet, dark, and yet stimulating atmosphere of this game is something else.
Star Trek: Voyager is my Favorite one.. And I love the fact that they used the cast from the TV series to do the voices in the game.. Way to go the extra mile..
Most of the original actors from Voyager came back to do the voices in Star Trek Online also. Just in case you ever wondered what they've been up to during the 30 years after returning from the Delta Quadrant. Lots of fun new adventures, and even more fun because they got the original actors to do the voices.
extra mile...huh? how often do you see former star treks actors on tv or movies? sure they have a following in star trek. but other then Patrick Stuart and William Shatner....who is still in the public eye? will Wheaton on big bang theory and LeVar Burton old show reading rainbow? Bret Spiner has some random stuff but notice not one from Voyager? they so desperately for cash back then the game wouldn't sell without at least one voice actor..SMH idiots extra mile...
@@ravinraven6913 But at the time of release (2000), Star Trek Voyager was still on the air so it WAS the proverbial extra mile to get the still-active cast to be involved; not to mention the cost of doing so.
@@Gun14Slinger I played both games. EF2 wasn't as good IMO. It had a lot of good ideas, but too much of the game was just blasting at swarms of monsters - got tired too quickly for me. I played it once maybe about 10 years ago, I still play EF1.
***** Not mine :-( I still haven't gotten a chance to play this one. I plan to buy it on eBay soon, but can I ask you: What items do I need to make sure I get? Just a CD and a manual? Or was there anything else in the box I would need? Maps, quickstart guides, anything else that I should make sure is with it before I buy ?
This game is so fun. I remember being too scared to beat the first level when I was 9 years old, but I still kept renting it from my local video store anyway. I even bought an ex rental copy of it from the same store in 2013, years and years after I last played it. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same copy that I kept renting.
I loved this game so much, I would kill all enemies in the area, and then spend 15 minutes looking at the environment details and the plasma bullet holes on the wall lol
lol, I can so relate to that. My favourite level was the scavenger base. I remember just looking at all the mish-mashed, bulkheads and welded doors, thinking "I wonder what is on the otherside."
I've never played this game..but have watched countless UA-cam vids of others playing it. Looks awesome. But i would want to stay on the bridge with the crew. I'm also a huge Voyager fan and loved the show when it was on the air.
Thanks, I bought this game years ago, and it was fun. So I reloaded it, and got stuck on a level. Thanks for the walkthrough. (PS, I am 62, who thought I'd still be playing video games!)
growing up with the NES generation, we had an older guy who lived near my grandma who had to be like 70 something and he would show us how to beat some of the more challenging NES games like Zelda 1 and 2, etc. This was before Nintendo Power, the internet, etc. So it's not unheard of.
Thank you for uploading. I've played this game and the sequel. Voyager is my favorite Star Trek series and this game truly complements a great tv show.
I remember playing the crap out of this game. Back in 2000 there was not a single game that gave a decent movie like experience as this game did. The CTF online maps are great to play on too. Elite Force 2 offers kind of a similar but updated experience and with boobs and inter-species relationships.
I wish someone at CBS would demonstrate a little appreciation for old Trek and make a new Elite Force game in line with the old continuity, maybe taking place in the same time frame as STO.
i loved tf outta this game! it felt like a real Episode of Voyager being played out! The Sequel never really held the same to this game. even w better textures, Patrick Stewart, and enhanced gameplay This Game still is a hidden gem that sadly has fallen into the past. IF you're a Trekkie. and a loving fan of Voyager. this game is for you IT had everything a Voyager Fan wanted It brought in Classic Voyager baddies like the Hirogen, Malon, 8472 and the Borg Class Trek Baddies like the Klingons and a Original Adversary the Vorsthoth along side some Original Aliens This Game was a STAR it certainly deserves a REmake shame CBS will piss on any chance of that
I agree this is one of my favorite games and it really has a star trek atmosphere to the game it gives you an appreicated for the game it still a good game afterall these years
Great memories of this game. My son was 8 years old when it came out, and we played it together and conquered the Vorsoth! To this day he and I can still recite dialog from it. "Your shrieks of agony shall be a symphony of pain! Your bitter blood shall drip like sweet nectar from my tongues!"
I remeber playing this game about 10 years back, some levels featuring droids who could see only with their "laser eye" where you had to avoid them were scary as hell
This game was pure genius, so many hours of fun. And the way they incorporated that mirror-connie was awesome, I remember being very elated once I realized where I was.
Found this completely by accident and it brought back so many childhood memories of playing this when I was like 4 years old. I used to use pretty much only the phaser the entire game cause I was terrified of running out of ammo
It's awesome the Quake 3 AND Half-Life influences you can see, hear, touch, and feel playing this and how much it built this game up to becoming great.
The environments and voices are excellent. This game also has a great semi-goofy charm to it, what with the chars telling you to get lost when you try to talk to again after an often heart-felt speech, and the way they cry out every time they drop off a platform or the player fires one of their heavy weapons too close. It just does it for me.
i thought that you really was going to die at the beginning of the longplay but i guess that i was wrong! i shall bow down to you as you are a master of pc gaming!
This was the first FPS I ever played. Good times. Played it on PS2 now have a PC copy and want to play it again but sadly, I'm not savy enough to get it to run on Windows 10. :(
This game is tons of fun, even if it is short. I really wish I could get it to work on an OS later than Windows XP. This and the sequel are really good, and it's pretty safe to say they won't be appearing on Steam any time soon, what with licensing difficulties and what have you.
This is the perfect game for a sweet late-night solo gaming session until 4 A.M. The quiet, dark, and yet stimulating atmosphere of this game is something else.
This game was so good..someone should remake it. One of the best Star Trek games and FPS games of all time.
You can start an online petition on sites such as GoPetition to remake it.
agreed, this game should really be remastered. not for the game's sake but I really like to walk (and explore) the voyager again!
It doesn't need a remakes, there's too many remakes and remasters. That's just laziness. It just needs to be added to steam and gog.
@@DukeoftheAges Quite agree. Instead of remaking this they could make a new one.
Could ask the guys that made the Resident Evil Remakes to do it ... Would look amazing
this is exactly what ground combat in STO should be
I completely Agree !!
Star Trek: Voyager is my Favorite one.. And I love the fact that they used the cast from the TV series to do the voices in the game.. Way to go the extra mile..

+Halfcentaur If they have, let me know lol. I was in a massive clan in this game...too bad it all fell apart.
A lot of games on the ID Tech 3 engine were good.

I loved this game, especially the Photon Torpedo launcher, what a weapon!

so true
Giants Citizen Kabuto came out in 2001, that had a good story, but I agree EF did a great job of making you feel like a crew member XD
Deus Ex would like to have a word

Such a great game that I distinctly remember. It was a real showcase for slick, FPS shooters on pc at the time. This, and Deus Ex!
Totally underappreciated game. Good stuff.
was such a fun game, the interacting with different npcs from the show was just one of the best things
I wish someone made a remake of this. It's a great game with good potential for a remake, but its age is a tad bit OBVIOUS.
