Excellent performance. Not overplayed or "emoted". Tchaikovsky was aiming for comparative restraint here (for Tchaikovsky, that is. 😄) Fascinating to hear original version with omitted music, different order of variations, etc. I appreciate the inclusion of the other selections as well.

Y un corte de mangas a la camarilla del grupo de los cinco (exceptuamos al genial Modest) que nunca compusieron auténtica música rusa a la altura y trascencencia (al margen de modas pasajeras) de la de Tchaikovsky. Un genio con todas las letras y todas las heridas de su atormentada alma. Un respeto, por favor, ante semejante MÚSICO
